FreeIndex moves to HTTPS
Hi all.

Today we have converted FreeIndex to "https". This means that the site is now much more secure overall.
Any information that you add to the site is now encrypted before it is transmitted over the internet. Using HTTPS, the computers agree on a "code" between them, and then they scramble the messages using that "code" so that no one in between can read them.
Hopefully this will increase trust and give all of our users more confidence in contributing to the site.
You should not notice any changes to the site's operation.
Best regards,
The FreeIndex Team

Hi unfortunately I am not free on your date but hopefully you have a good day
I'm still here. Please send me Google link juice.
Not getting emails first in a long while, continue to use. Thanks
Hi, my business has also converted to https but when I tried to amend my website address on Freeindex to incorporate the change it wouldn't allow it ? Should I be doing this another way.
This is great news.... thanks guys at FreeIndex : )
Thank you so much, it's good news,
Very good to see Free ads taking this action. We did it a while ago and our clients like it.
Many thanks, it is all working now.

Love this
Eversley Training www.hygienetraining.co.uk
adds a good few seconds load time to my website when I add the reviews widget unfortunately (which means lost google ranking)
Don't you have a app yet?
Its no quicker tho, painfully slow to load pages
That's the one downside of traffic encryption - it puts more load on the server because it has to encrypt and decrypt every bit of info on every page that goes back and forth between the browser and the server. Unfortunately, it's a necessary evil nowadays. Overall performance is down to how many threads each CPU core can handle at a given time and how well Apache/NGINX/IIS (whatever FreeIndex uses) is optimised.
Thank you for the improvement, great idea
As always Freeindex is proactive with good customer focus and service
Thank you for the improvement
