FreeIndex version 12.0 launched!
Hi All.
We have been working hard to get our new version of FreeIndex out before the start of 2017 and here it is, early!
So what's new?
- New cleaner design
- Brand new homepage
- Better user navigation
- More intuitive, easier to use maps
- Massively improved mobile layout
- New award images to promote the best businesses
- Improved listing style
The site is now cleaner and leaner!
We've removed a whole load of pages from the site. Anyone with very little information on the site will no longer have their own page, although their details are still available in the search results.We'll be continuing to clean the site's content over the next 6 months, so it's important that your profile is kept fresh and up to date.

Would like to see you working on the Widget again please to modernize its code further and allow us some more colour customization on our own websites again please. Would like to see the "Top Rated" certificate graphic upgraded and enlarged more on the widget too (We're No.1 in the overall Printing category out of 5,700 businesses in the UK).

I should use free index more.. I need to get a good set of photos of before /during and after for the fireplaces which is the primary part of business now.. I will have a remap again very soon.
Hi Freeinex team, firstly thanks for a fantastic website, I've been listed with you for nearly 7 years and in that time I have had a lot of business from my listing. The new look website is great apart from my business name has a red flag or banner next to it, this I know represents 'top rated' however personally I think the colour red can come across as negative, perhaps a simple 'top rated' sign would be better. Let me know your thoughts on this.

I have had a couple of customers say to me that there reviews are not showing why is this happening?
More than likely they have not verified their email address. I have same issues but can clearly see they haven't completed the task in hand.
We would just like to let you know that the Award Banners have now been updated on both the listings and your profile pages. Thanks again for all your useful feedback.
that new recommended banner is pretty craptastic I have to say. It doesnt stand out at all. Its like trying to sell your house with a business card sized for sale board stuck in your front window
also what does Well Recommended mean? I have lived the UK my whole life and have never heard of that.

I too feel the Recommended diagonal banner looked better in terms of standing out to potential customers. I'm a premium member of Freeindex too and wish the banner sign will be reverted back to the earlier one which was better.

sorry but this is terrible!!! as a i pay for the extra for premium membership I want to stand out not just 2x green lines & top rated in blue. way to much white on the background. looks basic & no class. If the "freeindex" has been rebranded is there new stickers?? Personally i think someone has dropped a clanger

The Premium Listing still has a different colour background and a larger photo, as well as contact buttons and yes the two green lines. We felt as though this was an improvement. Your Top Rated award is now also shown on your listing as well as on your page.
As far as the re-brand goes, yes there will be new stickers in the future.

Just to let you know, we have had a change of heart on this and we have reverted back to our trusty old FreeIndex Logo.
i think the boldness of the old logo works well & stands out nicely.

Bit mixed on this, nice and clean as you say but the 'Recommended' or 'Highly Recommended' diagonal banner for good reviews has disappeared which I think is a shame, and has been replaced with quite a small type above the review stars? - doesn't stand out enough for me or potential clients :(
On the Business Leads it was good to have a visual indication that you had read the lead by change of type colour - this appears to have gone completely so not so useful..... sorry for the downer :(

Thanks for your useful feedback. First of all we have changed Business Leads so that the URL now changes colour to indicate which ones you have visited. We hear what you are saying about the awards. Yes the new award is smaller, but the award is now also shown on your listing as well as on your page, which means alot more people will see it. We will bear your comments in mind for the time being on this.
