FreeIndex now connects!
Hi Everyone...
We have just launched FreeIndex integration with Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo and MS Live.
You can link with as many different providers as you like, but we suggest that the main two that you should link with are Facebook and Twitter. This allows us to spread your positive reviews around the main social networks when they get posted.
The Benefits
- Allows you to log into the site without having to remember your FreeIndex Username and Password. Simply click on the appropriate provider and you’re logged in!
- If you link your account with Twitter or Facebook, we will automatically post a notification on your facebook wall / twitter feed when you receive a good review. We will also post it on the reviewers facebook wall / twitter feed helping to spread the word about your company.
Additionally we will display a link to your Twitter / Facebook page on your business profile. You can control how Facebook and Twitter work with FreeIndex within Account Settings.
- It’s now easier than ever for people to write a review for your company. We have improved the way people provide a rating by allowing them to simply click on stars. Now that users can authenticate by using one of their existing accounts, they don’t even have to sign up to FreeIndex.
- If you link your account to Facebook or Twitter, we'll automatically use your profile picture from there as your avatar on FreeIndex.
How to link your account
You can link your FreeIndex account either directly from the My FreeIndex dashboard, or by going into Account Settings. Simply click the appropriate account icon e.g. facebook / Twitter. If you’re not already logged to that account, you will be asked to login and to let FreeIndex interact with your account. Once you have agreed to that, your account will be linked.
You might also notice that we've updated the dashboard look and feel to make more room and to make it easier to read.
Next up: FreeIndex Mobile App.
We hope you have a great Easter bank holiday (and enjoy the wedding).
Best regards,
The FreeIndex Team

Excellent support. Thankyou Freeindex!
Hello i haven't seen this on my facebook page? help.
brilliant! Should maximise exposure so that more can be a part of freeindex!
Yes, a LinkedIn connection would be great as well. Keep up the good work.
Hi everyone at FreeIndex and I'm just catching up on all the good things you are proposing for the future ....great news for the SME business sector.
One suggestion I have if you don't mind is that you should also use LinkedIn as a freeindex integration as a lot of businesse use that social media platform.
Looking forward to seeing your new desigh layout scheduled for October.

Hi.
I've linked my Free Index account to my Facebook account, as yet I have seen nothing with regards to positive reviews appearing on my Facebook account, is there a problem with this service?
Regards
Geoff Duxbury.
Great Idea Guys. Love it!

well done, that is really good of you. Gwyn
Whatever makes it easier for the reviewer to add reviews has to be good... Trying to get users to create an account just to leave a review is a sticking point for most...
also agree with others that LinkedIn would be a better link to enable
Another review? Excellent work.
Excellent, keep up the good work!!

I have noticed that a competetor's freeindex feedback score is listed on their 'google places' entry. Mine does not, and I can't seem to find how to activate this; do you know, and is it done on google, or on freeindex.
Many thanks in advance,
Steven
As noted to others, the ability to link with "LinkedIn" would be good, as this is generally more business focussed that Twitter, Yahoo, Facebook etc.
Many thanks for this,
This would help to advertise and get the messages across to the different types of people on these social networking platforms
Excellent - pls keep us all posted re. the mobile app. And as others suggest LinkedIn is the professionals choice for social networking!

Hi all, I am new on this site, but so far so good.

Great idea, and hopefully it will generate more business for companies who use this forum.
Thanks. If I don't want to be linked to the ubiquitous Google (but I might) how do I turn it off and stick with Twitter and FaceBook as recommended. Also in your opinion should I allow everyone to read my Tweets and Facebooks or just friends and followers? Could the whole Twitter and FaceBook community be genuinely interested in my postings? Or is the whole thing about self-promotion, marketing or idle ramblings which are rather silly e.g. "Had cornflakes for breakfast" or "must stop picking nose" or "Buy this book now". Why on earth do a million plus people follow Stephen Fry I wonder. Nice chap for sure but hourly tweets (or even more frequently) somewhat pointless. Is it just about celebrity (like so many things today, such as Bono saying at a U2 concert (apparently) "Each time I clap my hands a child dies in Africa" to which a sound Irish member of the audience is supposed to have said "Stop clapping your fecking hands then". Am I missing the point?
cool idea!!! as always freeindex rules i get so much new business through it!! best thing i ever did
It seems a very good idea.
Nice work peeps. Awesome stuff
Great idea but I would like to link to my facebook business page not my personal profile, is there any way to do this?
Fantastic work from the freeindex team
A Very good Idea, Please advise

I don't want to be linked yet my account is saying I'm linked to Facebook and Google. How do I remove that link?
This would be excellent guys but I have just tried it and the buttons on the dashboard and in the account settings do not appear to work.
