I cannot commend Bates Plumbers (Richard and Dom) enough for their installation of my bathroom. I trusted Richard from the minute he came in to do a good job, to me, that meant a lot. His price was fair and he knew his business. Dom fitted the bathroom and fully tiled the walls with expertise. The work was carried out in a clean and very tidy manner, hardly any dust, and is of an exceptionally high standard. I would recommend this company to anyone and wish them continued success in the future, they deserve it.

Richard came to give us a quote and helped us deciding just what we wanted, was pleased with the quote and decided to go ahead. Anthony came to carry out all the work, took 2 weeks, did a really good job. Would not hesitate to reccomend this company as we were delighted with all aspects of the work especially the finished article a very plush looking new bathroom.

We have been highly satisfied with the work done to renovate our bathroom, at a very reasonable cost. Richard planned and supplied everything needed to transform our very small bathroom into a modern shower room. It was Anthony who worked on the removal of the old, and complete installation of the new fittings from ceiling to floor. He worked with commitment to the job and completed the work in the estimated time. Richard is dedicated to customer satisfaction, he was available to answer every query and we felt totally confident in his advice.

We struggled to find someone local to do our bathroom. We were let down on a couple of occasions by local plumbers with good reviews and I only wanted to employ someone with quite a few good reviews. I sent Richard an email asking if he was prepared to come across to Manchester to have a look at our job and he came in the next few days despite just suffering a bereavement in the family. Right from the off he was helpful and informative, going through the whole process step by step and giving us some good ideas. When the job started he turned up on time everyday with his trustee assistant Dom and kept me informed at all times if he was going to be arriving late due to going to the builders yard or leaving slightly early for a similar reason. They cleaned up after themselves every night and managed to keep as much of the bathroom in use for us for as long as possible. We had 3 layers of tiles to be ripped out, a new ceiling needed putting in, full bathroom suite and then the walls prepared and tiled, Richard also found the floor under the bath to be rotten which wasn't totally unexpected for me but was for him, wasn't a big deal, he just re layed the flooring. The finished job itself is brilliant, really high quality and we couldn't be happier with it. I would recommend Bates plumbing to anybody that asked me without hesitation and would encourage people on this side of the pennines to get in touch with him if you're thinking of having your bathroom done. Richard and Dom recently removed my old dated bathroom suite and then re-fitted a nice new one. They removed the old wall tiles too and re-tiled where I needed and made sure the rest of the walls were ready to be painted. They turned up every day, cleaned up any mess and took all the rubbish away with them each day. Richard and Dom did a brilliant job they are good honest friendly guys (hard to find these days), full of good advice and suggestions. Would definitely recommend them, the only problem I have is what colour to paint the walls.

Richard and Dom installed our new bathroom (to replace a botched DIY job installed by the previous home owners). We had our other bathroom done a year ago with a big (supposedly reputable) company and it was nothing but trouble from the outset. Our experience with Bates Plumbers could not have been more different. We needn't have been concerned this time around. Richard was clear, honest, professional and friendly. He answered our innumerable questions with extraordinary patience and offered advice on style, practicality and price whilst listening to and providing for our needs and wants. He kept us updated every step of the way. Having used Richard several times over the years we had no hesitation in calling him back to revamp our bathroom, needed due to disability. They totally ripped out everything including the bath that was never used and replaced with new curved shower cubicle, fitted handrail in shower, tiled whole room from floor to ceiling, fit toilet and sink at a more comfortable height into built in furniture. Richard worked with us on price and advised us on best products etc. Richard and Dom did a brilliant job, worked non-stop. Very tidy, friendly and polite too. Very highly recommended.

Called Richard in to modernise our dated bathroom. Richard stripped out two sets of wall tiles, removed all our old bathroom fittings, and removed cupboard housing combi boiler unit. We now thanks to Richard and Dom's hard work have a wonderful warm and modern bathroom. We would recommend Bates plumbers to all our friends and family. We recently had our EnSuite upgraded and what an amazing transformation. It was originally a 12 year old basic new build EnSuite and now we feel it is equivalent to a first class hotel. They gutted the old and installed our dream bathroom. It is very evident that they take pride in their workmanship and are extremely committed to the task in hand. Richard EXCEEDED my expectations, even after reading all his excellent reviews! My bathroom was gutted, fully tiled and a new suite installed. Richard is enthusiastic and motivated, he takes a pride in completing work to a high standard and kept me informed daily. He took all rubbish and mess away at the end of each day, leaving me with much less disruption than I anticipated. Richard noticed my boiler had not been fitted or serviced properly when he attempted to adjust the pressure when fitting the new radiator. He was extremely helpful by seeking advice, then contacting the company who fitted and service the boiler, resulting in the fault been quickly rectified, leaving my home safe. I would definitely recommend Richard Bates plumber to anyone.

Our bathroom was gutted, retiled and a new suite installed. Richards project management skills and attention to detail were evident throughout the job. Our new bath had a design fault which we might not have even noticed but Richard pointed it out and worked really hard to get us a replacement product. We had our bathroom gutted, what an exceelent and high standard of finish, richard knows his work, very tidy on time, we used richard many years ago so we knew we would have a high standard finish, richard also did my sisters bathroom and other jobs. April 2014 We recently employed Bates Plumbers to carry out a complete bathroom refit compressing P. V. C feature ceiling, full floor and wall tiling, bath/shower/WC and wash basin unit. We were very impressed with the workmanship and high standard of the finished work. Richard takes great care and attention to detail and is very professional in his manner.
