FreeIndex Sponsored Advertising now live
Dear FreeIndex Members.
Following on from the successful launch of FreeIndex Version 11 earlier this year, we would now like to announce that our Sponsored Ad facility is now live.
If you have always wanted to advertise at the top of your category on Page 1, but didn't want to get reviews to be at the top, our new Sponsored Advertising facility is for you. Our Sponsored Ad facility allows you to target visitors based on what they are looking for and where they are located, and you only pay when your Ad is displayed to the audience you have selected.
Just a note, we only display one FreeIndex Sponsored Ad at the top of the listings, and this replaces existing 3rd party Ads, so in reality it makes no difference to all of you who have built up reviews and got to the top of our listings for FREE. You haven't lost out!
As an incentive to have a look at Sponsored Ads, we are offering every existing business on FreeIndex 100 FREE Credits! This means you can create an Ad, try it out and get some Free Advertising.

Since launching Version 11 we have seen a massive increase in traffic. As the new site is responsive, every feature now works on mobiles and tablets, so we think this has contributed to the rise. Can you tell me where I can find out how many credits I have left? Please tell me how I can navigate to this information.

If you go to Manage your existing Ads off the Dashboard, it tells you in the top right hand corner of the white box you're in.

Personally I think that gathering those reviews is by far a better system of attracting the right clients to any business.
I just wish there was a simpler way for folks to quickly provide their reviews on Freeindex, I have had feedback that suggest things could be made easier for the client when providing their reviews. But yes overall FreeIndex is very helpful to local small to medium sized businesses.

Last month we had over 3 million page views and nearly a million unique visitors. These figures aren't perhaps what they were but we are seeing a steady rise which is great. Thanks for the question.

In response to your credits running out quickly: I've had a look at your Ads and they ran for the correct duration. If you select categories with no locations (for eg. Florists) your 100 credits aren't going to last long. I'd suggest you try to be more specific with your targets (by adding locations) and hopefully, you'll get better results.

Yep, same as previous the credits ran out within the hour and no hits. Nice idea but would need longer to see if it was worth investing in. Apart from that, very happy with FreeIndex.
Free index suits my business model as I get work on my reviews plus for me paid advertising does not work and neither does those other sites you have to pay for for business leads that come to nothing . Also Joe public is getting more savvy with regards to sponsered adds and with me my customers want recommendation.

If these are ' Ads by Google related to ' then why are 3 ads displayed ? Sorry but this is not what we would expect from FreeIndex.

First of all, we haven't increased the number of Ads on a listing page and free listings have not been pushed further down the page. The 3rd party Ads fund the site and therefore are a necessary evil. Our new sponsored advertising system allows our members to place relevant Ads directly with us, reducing the number of 3rd party Ads being displayed.

I get very possitive verbal customer comments whilst carrying out surveys or during works on site re freeindex on a weeky basis, The photos help a great deal together with the reviews , products and services , the more info the better . It certainly works for my small business , ive been top of the page below the sponsered ads for some time now when people google search roof repairs for example or similar , many thanks again for the exellent service provided.
