I unfortunately did not have a good experience with UDrive. My instructor was Gerard Dickinson and he was sadly not very patient or professional, making disparaging remarks about lower income individuals in lessons and berating me in lessons. Acquiring a refund and lodging a complaint with UDrive was difficult and took several months. Hence, I cannot recommend UDrive. I am sure the other instructors are better, but Gerard Dickinson was incredibly poor.
Hi, just wanted to say huge thank you to my driving instructor Darryl Underhill for giving me outstanding lessons in a way that I passed my driving test from first time! I don't think you can find more professional yet such patient calm delicate approach driving instructor anywhere else ! I was very nervous at my test but yet I passed thanks to Darryl skills and techniques knowing how to teach to drive. Wishing you more happy students and prosper in your business! Sincerely. Anastasia.
I had 3 lessons with Alister from HOSM over the period of a month after learning to drive in my own car. He was brilliant at showing me everything I needed to know to pass my test, and any places that could catch me out! Had my test today and passed with 2 minors after only 3 lessons!
Between May 2019 and March 2020 I had driving lessons with Mark in Grantham. I had thirty six one hour slots during this period. Whilst I was in lock down I was able to reflect that my driving experience on the whole had not been a good one with Mark. I have learning difficulties, so often things will take me longer to process and understand. I did explain this to Mark at the beginning of my lessons with him, but I felt that he didn't really care or consider my feelings when I made mistakes, often at the end of the lesson I would feel dejected and depressed, something that did not improve, the more time I spent with Mark. Lessons I found were disjointed at times, you would practice one maneuver three times in a lesson and then not revisit that maneuver for another four weeks. I also felt that I never got the full hour that I had paid for, due to the fact that Mark would drop me off five to ten minutes before the end of my lesson had finished. I would be asked to drive into the petrol station, while he filled up the tank in my time. The last lesson that I had with Mark in March, he dropped me off fifteen minutes before the end of my lesson and I spent five minutes waiting at the petrol station while he paid for petrol and toilet roll. I have now moved to a new independent driving instructor who takes into consideration my learning difficulties. I get my full time that I have paid for and he is helping me build back up the confidence that was lost over the ten months that was spent with Mark.Moreexpand_more
I was previously with one of your drivers. I have had many issues with them, often he will cancel lessons last minute, or state that he cannot make them for whatever reason. In the last month, I have had one lesson in four weeks, with the last message I have received from him stating that he could not be bothered to make it into Lincoln as it was "too long of a journey". I don't find this behaviour in a driving instructor to be acceptable at all, particularly as when I agreed to lessons with that he would do weekend lessons. I don't appreciate being made to plan things around a driving lesson only for the instructor to not uphold their end of the deal. I understand saturdays and evening lessons are not the best for every instructor due to family commitments, but this is ridiculous. I don't think your company should be advertising weekend driving instructors if they are never around for them. I am not happy with your company at all and find it appalling. I have tried to ring your office as well, and they did not seem to know who I was or the driving instructor was. I certainly wasn't on their system, which begs the question, was the instructor even operating under your company at all on weekends? Particularly when a weekend lesson and a weekday lesson were the same price, which doesn't make sense to me. I will not be continuing with any of your instructors. Especially since on my last lesson I was told to "book my theory and practical". I can't do that without more lessons, and clearly none of your instructors are around long enough to do that. Do not use this company, unless you want your time wasted.Moreexpand_more
I had Mickey teach me and he is very professional and supportive and got me to pass with only 1 minor. Test date 25-05-18. Location Lincoln. I would definitely recommend UDrive to anyone who wants to book and intensive course and start driving.
I have only had 4 hours of driving so far but the driving instructor is great, his name is Phillip Troop. He really does make me feel confident when I'm learning how to drive and makes sure I'm okay and not scared or nervous but I have learnt quite a lot in the 4 hours I've done. I really do recommend UDrive as they are really great especially Phillip Troop. Thank You.
Couldn't rate Mark Garside high enough, extremely patient, willing to put as much time in as needed, always on time and never cancelling. Definitely worth the money you are paying and the the quality of the lessons were always at a high standard and well thought out. Mark always managed to stay extremely positive about progress and would work hard with anyone to work on any weaknesses and get them through their test, top guy! .
Jimi was a fantastic instructor, gave me the confidence to pass with only one minor! Woo. Great instructor and definitely recommended. The prices are slightly higher than some in the area but I think they make up for this with the quality of teaching. Thanks a lot :).
I passed my test on the 2nd of June 2016 and I couldn't be happier with the result I got which is all down to the most amazing instructor Sam. She is very patient and easy to get on with. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is nervous about driving. Such a lovely person and when we were on our lessons together she always made sure that I was comfortable doing things on my own and doesn't rush which is very helpful.
My driving instructor was jimi and I can't recommend or speak more highly of him, I have been learning to drive since I was 17 with various instructors and I was getting no where. Finally at 25 I was learning with Jimi and in only six months I passed. His instruction was good and he explained things in ways I would understand. Thanks so much jimi!
