Brian has an extremely patient and clear way of teaching this led me me gain confidence with driving, from my first lesson I felt confident behind the wheel he made each lesson tailored to my areas of improvement especially with some manoeuvres he kept calm and explained multiple ways how to take perform the manoeuvres I would throughly recommend him.

Miles Ahead driving lessons provided me with all the knowledge I needed in order to pass my driving test. The methods of teaching used made understanding certain driving techniques and manoeuvres clear and easy. On my lessons, I was always given constructive criticism with thorough explanation which helped me to understand any mistakes and inspired me to learn from them. Brian provides brilliant driving lessons. He is very knowledgeable and experienced and teaches clearly and answers any questions thoroughly. He also teaches manoeuvres simply and effectively. I was able to become very confident in my driving due to him being so calm, patient and kind. I owe much of it to him for passing first time :).

I came to brian after having a break from driving due to personal reasons and having an instructor before I didn't get on with. I didn't have much confidence or the get go to drive and brian instilled great confidence in me to be able to feel at ease and enjoy driving. He is a very patient, calm, resourceful and around nice guy. We would often have conversations and get on well, Brian's real strengths are how he teaches and how you learn. I picked up things quickly and always wanted to learn new things with how brian plans his lessons with you, he is flexible to your needs with weekly lessons every week and came back quickly with times. I have been on a great journey with brian and have now passed my test. So a big thank you! I would recommend to anybody wanting and willing to drive A+++.

I used Miles Ahead over a year ago and then I stopped due to moving away for a year. I came back and had a couple of weeks of recap and then passed a test that was on a cancellation that Brian managed to arrange for me (my test was going to be 4 months away otherwise). Brian is excellent at instructing and I found that everything he taught me completely stuck with me even when I didn’t drive for a year, and the methods he taught worked in any car I’ve used. Brian always turned up earlier than my appointment slot and would be willing to answer any questions and such at the end of the lesson, using his own time to do so. He is also very flexible and handles his diary on a week by week basis, spending time deliberating to be able to fit everyone in. Brian personally remembered me, the problems with my driving, the things we had sorted, the way that I learn etc and would go above and beyond to even explain to me how to operate and adjust my personal car. Brian was socially great, easy to get on with and would find the right times to talk during the lesson, which I found helped me learn how to concentrate and multitask behind the wheel, and improve nerves. Great instructor 10/10.

What a journey it’s been. Passed 1st time with Brian as my teacher and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better one. Everything I struggled with or got wrong he was calm and collected, never frustrated and when it came to the next lessons - those faults were easily fixed. I looked forward to every single lesson I had with him, no matter what length of time it was for.
