Four steps are used when beginning a website development or rework:
- defining and documenting the scope of the work.
- establishing the goals of the clients company or the individual.
- carrying out site content inventory (Information Architecture) steps.
- carrying out mock-up page and site design.
From these scoping and early development steps, a final preferred mock-up can hopefully be chosen as being the target of a future web site implementation. This early work saves on development time (and costs) and should lead to site which is visually and functionally correct for the client. With correct and integral SEO friendly site pages and with submission to search engines complete, such sites rank well in the search engines and will certainly generate new visitors and potential customers.

The company is managed by Rob Tyler who has been a freelance Web Designer and Developer for over 20 years.
Wavdesign is run by a single developer, qualified to masters degree level and fully trained in the disciplines of Software Engineering, User Interface Design and Graphic Design.

Rob designed and has continued to administer my website 'Lights in the sky'which promotes my series of science fiction novels by the same name. The work involved designing a (to me) very complex series of pages that introduce my fictional world to the reader, allow them to access content, and post comments/give feedback. Rob did all of this exceptionally well. I'd like to single out the graphic design using either images provided by my artist, Kati Aitken, or sourced by Rob himself, and the ongoing support he's provided to keep the site up-to-date and relevant.

I requested a new website to be built and sent as much information as I had at the time. I was very pleased with the quick turnaround and the creative layout used, which I had not specifically stipulated in the original request. I loved the colours chosen and images sourced to support the company, logo and and our forthcoming event. The design felt very sensitive to the feel for the company which I had wanted to present but which, again, had not stipulated exactly how I wished it to be done - very pleased with the results. When I needed things changed and updated, I received a speedy response and was always pleased with the service. Whenever anything wasn't quite right, I could be assured it would be amended quickly and efficiently upon request. Great value for money, friendly service, highly recommended!
