Phil’s very patient and funny, which helped me felt at ease at the beginning. He was great at communicating during covid, and it was easy and flexible when booking lessons. I had a lot of self-doubt in my driving skills, but he was reassuring and I ended up passing my test first try! Couldn’t recommend him enough.

I learnt how to drive with waterlooville driving school and an instructor called Phil. The lessons were great and any questions or uncertainties were answered and explained so that I then understood them. Because of Phils lessons I was able to past first time in a short amount of time. I would highly recommend waterlooville driving school and especially the amazing instructor Phil.

I had a driving instructor called Phil who managed to train me to a high standard which allowed me to excel in my driving test. My lesson were in fact interrupted because of Covid-19 but Phil kept frequent communication with me to feed the latest news and guidelines. Once able to continue my lesson Phil followed the guidelines and some to allow me and other learners to drive and feel safe from covid-19. I will conclude this review by highly recommending Phil for being friendly, value for money with good instruction.

I was able to pass first time with the help of Waterlooville Driving school and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my lessons. Any questions I asked were always answered with detail and a very high quality of teaching was supplied for a fair price. Would highly recommend to anyone at any stage in their driving career.

Phil is a great teacher, really helped me get through some stressful times whilst learning to drive. Passed first time, which at the beginning of it all seemed impossible. Would definitely recommend!

Right from the very start service was bad. Phil failed to turn up for the very first introductory lesson with no contact at all. The next day was advised by his wife that he had an ear infection. Rearranged for the following week. Cancelled numerous lessons with short notice but when my son needed to cancel an appointment with a few hours notice he tried to charge him for late notice and made him feel bad. Felt like a very penny pinching service, wouldn’t allow any extra time for anything. For instance my sons test was at 7 minutes past 9 so he turned up to collect him for his hour lesson at 7 minutes past 8. Phil told my son he wasn’t ready for his test, he booked one test and Phil said he had to have 2 weeks notice so my son changed it and then got a cancellation to bring it forward to which Phil told him the next test he would choose the date of. My son passed! Phil seems to be in it for the money rather than the reward. My advise would be to go elsewhere for a more friendly service.Moreexpand_more

Phil has proven to be an excellent instructor. My son Joe passed 1st time and Holly 2nd time, with only one minor fault! Phil and Jo have provided us with an excellent and friendly service. I would definitely recommend WDS to anyone wanting to pass their test quickly! Overall, 1st class driving instructor.

Phil is very patient and understanding which gives you confidence in such a stressful time. Explains the manoeuvres very well and general driving so you pick it up quite quickly.
