I honestly couldn’t recommend Michelle highly enough. I contacted Steer We Go after deciding to get back into driving, and after a couple of days I was put with Michelle. I had already seen so many fantastic reviews about her, so I was really looking forward to meeting her, and she absolutely lived up to them. I had previously done quite a few hours of driving around 7 years ago, but stopped learning to focus on my studies and because money was tight at the time. When I decided to start again, I had already passed my theory and had a practical test booked for August. Michelle assessed my driving early on and was completely honest and respectful about whether she thought my test date was realistic, which I really appreciated. We ended up leaving it where it was and I worked hard toward the goal with Michelle’s support. From the start, Michelle was exactly the kind of instructor you want. She is incredibly kind, calm, patient and encouraging, while also being honest and constructive when something needed improving. She always seemed to know exactly how to handle every situation, whether I was doing something really well or needed to work on something. One thing I particularly appreciated was that Michelle provided videos to help me understand and practise certain things outside of lessons, something my previous instructor had never offered. She also knew the test routes extremely well and would give me clear advice about what I needed to work on, while still giving me the freedom to decide what I wanted to focus on during lessons. Michelle was also incredibly flexible and went above and beyond to accommodate me. I was working full time while learning, and she tried to see if any of her more flexible students could move lessons around to help fit me in. She allowed me to book lessons well in advance, offered the option to pay for blocks of lessons at a discounted rate, and was even happy for me to finish lessons at different locations, such as near work, so I could get there on time. She also encouraged me to take out learner driver insurance and practise with family and friends between lessons, particularly things like manoeuvres. This meant that our lesson time could be spent getting more experience on the roads rather than using valuable time practising things I could do outside of lessons. The mock tests were also really useful and helped me understand exactly what to expect on the day. A couple of weeks before my test I even asked Michelle whether she thought I should push it back. She gave me an honest answer rather than simply telling me what I wanted to hear, and reassured me that I was a safe driver. She also reminded me that even if I did fail, it wasn’t the end of the world and we could simply rebook. That reassurance really helped me going into the test. Thankfully, I passed my practical test first time with just 2 minors! Looking back, I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. Michelle is an absolute credit to Steer We Go and I would 100% recommend her to anyone learning to drive, whether you’re starting from scratch or, like me, returning to driving after a long break. I passed! (Finally at 37 years old lol! ). I can’t recommend Michelle enough! I didn’t think I’d ever drive before I started learning with her, and if it didn’t work out this time I might not have come back to it again because the idea of driving made me so anxious. I looked up so many driving schools and instructors and put it off for years before emailing, I wanted Michelle especially because she was experienced with teaching anxious learners and I’m so glad I did because she was extremely understanding and adaptable. Michelle was experienced, knowledgable and patient and tailors lessons to your pace. She helps you feel confident and safe on the road and goes over and above for you with sharing with you any resources like useful videos you might need to watch outside of lessons, and takes time to go through anything you might not understand or have questions about. I will really miss our lessons together. Thank you for all your help, I really wouldn’t have been able to do it without you!

I can not recommend Michelle enough! I have struggled with severe anxiety for a long time and as a result I thought I would never be able to drive but thanks to Michelle who has always been so understanding and helpful I was able to pass my driving test first try. What really stood out was how he used pictures and maps to make things easier to visualise, especially tricky junctions and manoeuvres. Raja was an excellent instructor who helped me to pass the driving test on the first go. The driving test was exactly a mirror copy of what Raja has taught and the examiner covered each and every aspects that Raja was stressing on. Among many others who only think of money and business, Raja is so friendly, polite, honest and always think to improve learner driver’s skills to enable them to pass their test. He has his own well versed driving and maneuver techniques which will definitely help for the test. Today, I passed my driving test with RAJA of steer we go driving school. I have some worst experience before with my previous driving instructor from another driving school. Raja saved the day. He is absolutely professional, patient and ensures to fine tune your areas of weaknesses. I have been lucky to have him as my instructor and thankful to him for transforming me into a confident driver on the road. I have passed my exam in first attempt and truly enjoyed the entire experience of learning with him. You can really feel his urge and passion to teach you to drive safely and properly.
