Pete Calvert Driving Instructor

I am so incredibly thankful to Pete for teaching me to drive. Teaching someone who grew up with no experience in driving and only having bad influences must have not been easy, but Pete was so considerate, patient and understanding to me since day one of my lessons right to the final test. Pete is incredibly friendly yet knows when to be serious to really give yourself that push to properly succeed on your test day. He is always welcome to answer any of your concerns and is always happy to go over anything agian that you may not be confident in. Pete is the perfect combination of everything you need in a driving instructor: calm, firm, professional and knows how to make a lesson enjoyable and fun that makes you excited for the next driving lesson. I genuinely never enjoyed manual until Pete gave me the confidence I needed. He knows what to do to help you succeed and grow, that is why I highly recommend Pete to anyone who wants to learn how to drive.

Top class Instructor! Really supportive and helpful, Pete knows how to introduce driving to learners and is a professional in teaching the challenges that come to driving. Pete has made me a safe and skilled driver. He made it easy for me to pass my test in Boston first time with few mistakes. I am really appreciative of Pete for his patience and desire for me to perform well when driving and I will use all of what he has taught on the roads! .

Learning to drive with Pete has been absolutely brilliant! Every time I messed up on any lesson, he was patient and determined to get me to my test day. If you work with him, listen to what he tells you, practice and learn that he wants you to pass just as much as you do, I'm sure you'll have a great time. Even after my first attempt being a fail, we kept at it and I've passed. If you're looking for a driving instructor who'll get you through with flying colours and adapt to your ability, Pete is your man.

I started learning with Pete on a recommendation after a long gap from a false start with a different instructor. Throughout the time I've had lessons with Pete, he has always pushed me just the right amount. He genuinely wants you to pass and do the best you can do. Even though I'm sure correcting the same mistake a million times can be frustrating, he is very patient, understanding and apologies for any badgering he has had to do to correct you! I would recommend Pete to anyone who needs a confidence boosting instructor who will encourage you to get it done! I passed second time round after about a year and a half of lessons, not once did I feel like a lesson had been a waste of time or get the impression that Pete was stringing it out for profits sake! I had the lessons I needed, at a very fair price and got passed when I was able to!

Pete is a absolute professional. Polite, attentive and a thorough expert. I passed first time after approximately 30 hours of lessons with 1 minor fault. I could not recommend Pete more.

Definitely recommend Pete if you're looking for a driving instructor that actually wants you to pass. He was patient with me and believed in me when I didn't think I could do it but I passed today and without Pete instructing me as he did, I don't think id of been able to.

Would recommend Pete 1000% to anyone wanting to learn to drive, he’s helped me massively with overcoming my anxiety around driving. Hes helped me gain confidence not just in driving but confidence in general with my own ability as a person. Hes always so helpful and kind which I’m so greatful for. Pete is a great driving instructor, He has a lovely manner and made me feel safe every time I went out with him. He helped and supported me and really turned my driving around for the better. He has a lovely car to drive that's always clean and wants you to succeed. Pete is a Five Star Instructor.

Just passed my test today because of Pete. Very good instructor, will make suure youu are more than ready for the test when it comes to it so you are more than likely to pass. I got mine done first time of trying only because of Pete's teaching, would recommend.

I would recommend Pete 100%. I honestly thought I would never be able to drive before taking lessons with Pete. He goes above and beyond to teach you everything you need to know. He is exceptionally patient as driving did not come naturally to me. Pete is very informative and provides all of the tips required. Pete does not only teach you to pass the test but teaches you to be a good and responsible driver. Pete has been a very good and patient driving instructor. He helped me learn everything I needed and made sure I was 100% ready for my test on the 31st. Because of him I was able to pass 1st time with only 2 minors. Hugely recommend Pete if you’re looking for a driving instructor.

Very friendly and good listener. He will not only teach you to pass your driving test but to be a good driver. ! Honestly, where do I begin, having come from a previous instructor before covid, I was worried about learning how to drive again. However Pete made it so easy, he was very patient and helped me go from strength to strength before my driving test date came around.
