Paul Webb Driver Training

I highly recommend Paul and feel very lucky to have had him as my instructor. At 38, I have always put off driving and been very nervous about learning. He goes above and beyond, is calm, professional, reliable and is an expert in what he does. I initially just wanted to get it over and done with, but he exceeded my expectations and not only got me to pass first time, but made me a confident driver. He doesn’t just get you ready for your test, but puts in the extra work to make you a good driver, with additional motorway lessons and skills that you will need when you are on your own. You spend a good few hours learning to drive and not only is Paul an excellent instructor, he is also great company, becoming a good friend and makes driving fun and enjoyable experience.

Learning to drive was something I never thought I’d ever do! I’d convinced myself I couldn’t, but at age 37 a change in circumstances suddenly made it a necessity and I anxiously messaged Paul. He immediately put me at ease and totally reframed my mind to believe it was something I could do! I continued to be a ‘bag of nerves’ for a good while but Paul had infinite patience, explained everything clearly, answered my many questions and made lessons enjoyable. He taught me how to be a good driver and how to deal with situations I’d likely face on the roads in real life, not just what I needed to know to pass my test. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Paul, especially if you’re an anxious learner! Don’t put it off, just take the leap!

Paul is an absolute legend. I came to him so afraid of driving and he's been so calm, patient and kind through all my fears and teary nervousness! He's also just a brilliant teacher - great at describing everything so you understand why not just what. Super friendly but makes sure to tell you when you've got stuff wrong!

Excellent training and instruction. Passed my test first time. Costs less than other instructors but is higher quality than other instructors.

Paul is an extremely experienced and knowledgeable driving instructor who specialises in teaching people of all ages and degrees of confidence (especially those over 40! ) how to drive at an advanced level. He is particularly skilled in calming the more nervous learners and and is impressively adept at recognising your thought processes and the instincts of what you are intending to do, often even before you have realised it yourself! Paul takes great pride in his work, he genuinely cares about his pupils and is keen to get new drivers comfortable in challenging driving situations very early on in their learning cycle. To say that Paul "knows his stuff" from both the technical aspects as well as overcoming the psychological barriers of learning to drive is a massive understatement. Highly recommended.

Paul was a very flexible, knowledgeable instructor who gave me confidence and pushed me when I needed to be pushed, to believe in myself. He always made my lessons a very enjoyable experience learning to drive, leading me to pass first time. Thanks for everything Alice x.

I had such a great experience learning to drive with Paul. Installed loads of confidence in me and has a really clear way of teaching, lessons are relaxed and he makes you feel very at ease. He will only put you in for your test when he feels you are ready which is the reason his pass rate is so high. You will go into your test confident of passing rather than doubting your ability. There will be no need for a P plate once you have your car as you will be more learned than other newly passed drivers. Highly recommend.

I was initially nervous to take my driving lessons but Paul made me feel very comfortable as soon as I met him and was easy to get along with from the start. He was always professional but also friendly and this made the whole learning experience much more enjoyable and less stressful. I started learning to drive at 17, 14 years later I’ve finally passed my test first time, thanks to Paul. As someone returning to driving lessons after a long period I was understandably nervous, Paul put me at ease from the start. In all the lessons we had together he was always a picture of calmness, explaining everything to me clearly and patiently. In the time we spent driving Paul taught me more than just how to pass my test, he taught me how to be a good driver. I always looked forward to my lessons, not only is Paul an amazing teacher but he’s a great guy as well and we had some fun conversations whilst driving around Liverpool!
