Absolutely brilliant all round, those at OneWeek made the whole process easy and were helpful throughout. My instructor Danny went above and beyond making sure that I was able to pass my test. He was brilliant start to finish and made sure to teach effectively and in a way well suited to me. DVLA cancelled my test twice but both OneWeek and Danny pulled through to make sure I passed. 10/10 all round. Properly class act. Cheers guys.
It was easy to book, and my tests were booked in advance by one week. The only downside to this was my practical test was booked 3 months in advance with an area that was neither local to myself or my instructor. I was informed that over a 3 month period the one week were unable find a test in my area. However I was able to find and book a test closest to me within 2 hours, it did cost me an additional £62. Beyond that this is a reliable company with great customer service. My instructor Steve was great from start to finish. He provided feedback after every lesson, on things I needed to practice and work on. Steve is honest, transparent, and proffessional, I highly recommend Steve as he is definitely a 5* instructor.
I PASSED! Driving has never been easy for me and previously I struggled to commit to weekly driving lessons. The 38 hour course was hard work but completely worth it. Ian Swatton was my instructor and he was a great help to me, very pacient and honest with me. He was able to be flexible with timings and driving days all the way through to my test. My test was booked efficiently in advance and the course was easy to book. I have already reccomended it to friends and family who are looking to learn to drive! Thank you so much!
I feel compelled to warn others after a frustrating and disappointing experience with OneWeekDrivingCourse. I paid for what was advertised as a “one-week intensive driving course with a guaranteed driving test”, expecting a streamlined, supportive process. Unfortunately, the experience was confusing, poorly managed, and misleading. Here’s what happened:Test Centre Mismanagement: They booked my driving test at Worcester, nearly 30 miles away, despite Hereford and Ludlow being significantly closer. My instructor immediately told them he couldn’t cover Worcester – something that should have been checked before assigning us. It wasn’t. When we rejected the test, they voided the guarantee on a technicality. Guarantee Voided Despite Clear Communication: They later found a more suitable test at Hereford, but it was outside the “10-day window” of their guarantee – so we were penalised for not accepting an impractical booking they made in the first place. Disrupted Course Structure: Because of this reshuffling, my “one-week” course was split over several weeks, forcing me to take extra time off work and completely breaking the flow of learning. This was not the intensive course promised. Missing Lesson Hours: I paid for 24 hours of driving, but only received 21 hours, including just 30 minutes before a 7:50 AM test. They apparently include travel time in those hours – but this was never clearly stated. No Meaningful Support: Once the course started, communication was minimal. Their phone lines are open just 10am–4pm on weekdays – not helpful when things go wrong. There was no proactive support when problems with test centre logistics came up. Misleading “Free Retest” Offer: After failing the test, I looked into their advertised “free retest. ” In reality, there is no free retest. What they mean is that they’ll deduct £62 from the cost of a retest course – which costs £375. That’s £313 out of pocket for just six hours of lessons, where they again just connect you with a local instructor, not an actual course. There’s no dedicated structure or follow-up, and this offer is not explained transparently when you sign up. Overpriced for What You Get: It's clear that much of what you're paying for is simply the use of a browser plugin to search for test cancellations – something learners can easily do themselves for free or via low-cost services. Everything else – lessons, logistics, support – is delegated to local instructors without clear coordination. My Advice:Find a local instructor you trust directly.Use a free or low-cost test cancellation checker.Save yourself hundreds of pounds, stress, and poor communication.I am in the process of submitting formal complaints to:Trading Standards – for misleading business practices.Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) – for misrepresentation of the course format, the “guarantee”, and the so-called “free retest”.This service does not deliver on its promises. It's a highly polished website masking a disconnected and overpriced coordination service. Please do your research and book locally instead.Moreexpand_more
Janos, my instructor, was honestly amazing. Incredibly patient, experienced, knowledgeable and a natural teacher. I passed first time and that is all thanks to his amazing skills as an instructor. 10 out of 10.
Elton as an instructor was spot on, I had a really good couple of weeks leaning with him. Whilst I was disapointed that I did not have a test in my "one week", I still had no trouble passing. I do not think the fact that they do not guarentee a test in the week you have booked is stated clear enough on their website when booking, as if i'd known that going in I probably wouldn't have booked but overall, the service was okay. I do think it's companies like these which have made it so difficult to book tests by yourselves, but I guess that's more of a fault of the DVLA.
There was nothing "intensive" about this course. I had my first lesson and at the end the instructor said she didn't have anything for the next week and a half. This continued but luckily I was not too worried as I knew I would have a test booked "immediately" following the "intensive" driving course. Again, it was not immediate at all. Ended up being two and a half months from first lesson to test. If you are tall, request an instructor with a larger car - mine turned up in a VW Polo and at 6ft 5" it was extremely uncomfortable and after a long lesson I could barely walk. OneWeekDriving Course seemed uninterested in you once they had your money. They were asked to search for a course taking place sooner and in my home town but when I paid for a search and book company to try and get a test sooner, it appeared that OneWeeDrivingCourse only had me down for a huge town I had never driven in before with a huge number of massive roundabouts/multiple lanes etc. I would definitely not recommend this company.
I used OneWeekDrivingCourse after my brother had success with it, passing his driving test first time last year. Although a bit expensive, I too found success and passed first time. I will say that I was a bit worried as I had booked 4 months in advance and closer to the time of starting the course, I was told I didn’t actually have a test booked in. After some back and forth communication a test was booked in and this was quite fast after submitting my query. The whole course was completed in just over 3 weeks so wasn’t really “one week” but that was because I had to work around the new availability of my instructor. This was understandable but I was expecting it to be within a week as in the name, this is what I booked off of work. My instructor Cleo was great; teaching me the fundamentals and how to grow my confidence as time went on, he also supported me with any questions and worries I had about roundabouts or manoeuvres etc. I would 100% recommend him for anyone learning for a manual test. Overall I enjoyed my experience and am pleased to pass first time using this intensive method. Would 100% recommend if people are flexible with their schedules.Moreexpand_more
Poor customer service. Staff actively avoided my calls to discuss the 4 month gap between the intensive course and the test date. I feel like I have been scammed out of over a thousand pounds. Because I have.
