Natural Expressions Photography

I was the mother-of-the-groom, who lives in the U. S. , trying to schedule a wedding and work out the details with a photographer that I chose (with approval from my son and future daughter-in-law) based on his approach, style and photos that I researched online. Technology made it possible, but Patrick made it easy. He did a Zoom call with my son and his fiancée to finalize the shots they wanted to capture on their special day. We met him the day of the wedding and everything just fell into place! His candid-style of photography was PERFECT for the happy couple. Patrick is so approachable and really listened to what they wanted. Neither are big on posing for photos, so in-the-moment shots were spot on! Patrick went above and beyond capturing the day - from driving the bride, groom and me in his own car to the Lincoln Cathedral to get shots around the property and back to the venue. (Even meeting his lovely wife who met us and took the car so we didn’t have to drive around looking for a parking spot on what was a busy day at the Cathedral. ) That’s full service! We only planned for Patrick to shoot before the ceremony and the ceremony. However, he stayed way into the reception to capture it all, and we’re so happy he did! The photos are everything and more! Patrick captured some of the sweetest candid moments and the beautiful traditional wedding/reception shots, too. He created a comfortable space for my son and daughter-in-law (all of us) to be themselves/ourselves. And that’s what was wanted … well, that as well as beautiful and fun photos of the perfect day! Patrick made time at short notice to photograph our production of Romeo and Juliet. His unobtrusive presence, and instinct for getting just the right shot, resulted in the most stunning images of the show. Excellent informal family group photographs in our home and local park. Patrick managed to snap away as we had a special meal together, capturing the event and providing us with super photos of us all ( including the chef ) in a very casual atmosphere. The following day he took portraits of our grandchildren and our family , more posed but still very natural. We were sent digital copies from which we chose our favourites. He sent us a book with these printed. We had some enlargements printed to frame and give to family. Everyone was delighted. Very good communication.

Patrick is a brilliant photographer and a lovely person to work with. He made our family feel incredibly comfortable and got some amazing natural shots. He was extremely flexible on timings and produced a wonderful photo book too.

We first used Patrick as our photographer for our wedding back in 2011, he captured the day perfectly, lots of pictures to choose from and a lovely wedding album to. Since starting our own family we have used Patrick a couple more times and are over the moon with moments he captured. Will definately use again.

Highly recommend Patrick! He took our wedding photos 6 years ago and in October we reunited with him to take photos of us with our 2 children. It is such a pleasurable experience to spend time with Patrick - he makes you feel completely at ease and it shows through in how natural and happy we all look in the photos. He is also excellent with kids and got some wonderful shots of my 2 sons (4&2). We are thrilled with the photos and will not wait 6 years to work with him again!

Patrick from Natural Expressions was our photographer at our wedding. His approach was to capture the day with both formal and informal photos. The informal part was what we were interested in and the results were more than we could have ever hoped for. He made the whole party feel extremely relaxed and nothing was too much trouble. As someone with a passion for photography I was under no illusion about how important it would be to find a high quality, professional photographer for our wedding. After hours of trawling through so-called professional websites, I found Natural Expressions Photography. The look and feel of the photographs just took my breath away - the style, the lighting and attention to detail. You could actually feel the love that the people felt in the photographs. When I met with Patrick he made me feel at ease - he let me ramble on and listened to what I wanted, and we planned the day’s photography together. Throughout my wedding preparations he always had time to talk to me and set my mind at ease. At our venue his manner with our guests was perfect - he was friendly and professional and I honestly felt like another friend had attended. At times I completely forgot he was there as he was very careful not to act intrusively. When I first saw my images on line, I almost cried - I loved them! They were natural, and varied and told the story of our day through these amazing photographs.
