I have been learning to drive (automatic) with David since April 2025. I was a very nervous driver at the start due to being in a car accident years previously, but David had so much patience with me and made me feel so at ease in the car. He always remained calm whenever I would make mistakes, never made me feel stupid and always remained positive even on my bad days in the car! As a result of this, I have only grown in confidence as the months have gone on and I passed my test first time with only 2 minors! He also taught my sister to drive (manual) a few years ago, she passed first time with 2 minors as well! I couldn’t have asked for a better driving instructor and couldn’t recommend David more. Thank you for everything!

I just passed my driving test this morning with with this fantastic company dj driving school David was the best driving instructor I’ve ever met he is so kind and helpful and really friendly and if you’re looking to do a automatic driving lesson I would highly recommend dj driving school in Darlington and once again David thank u for believing in me and all the Patience u had with me building up to my test I can’t thank u enough all the best to u and your family.

David is a phenomenal instructor and a lovely man. He made me feel confident and calm whilst challenging me to drive my best. I passed after just a couple of months with David. Couldn’t recommend him more if I tried! A true professional.

What a guy Dave is went to him when wasn’t having much luck with previous driving instructors from the start he made me feel comfortable and gave me good pointers for me test today I passed with 2 minors all thanks to Dave car is a pleasure to drive as well.

Gave me excellent advice, reference points for manoeuvres was brilliant and always worked. He was very good at spotting mistakes. Absolutely amazing driver, he parralell parked from the passenger seat. And helped me out of a few sticky situations. Passed first time. Thank you David.

David's knowledge and experience equipped me to pass my driving test first time despite being very nervous. His teaching style is calm and informative while also being very friendly, he has a lot of patience, was very encouraging and his communication was clear. He adapted his teaching the closer we got to the test day as I got more anxious and worried. I would highly recommend him.

David is an amazing instructor. He is always punctual and he teaches in a friendly way. He uses illustrations as well to help us understand the skills more. Every lesson was fun and enjoyable. He helped me to boost my confidence in driving. Within two months I was able to gain all the skills necessary to pass the test. Today, I passed my test with a clean sheet. David has been great taught me everything I’ve needed to know and exactly what mistakes and troubles I was having all around great driving instructor. Really can’t thank him enough he’s been amazing.

David is an amazing driving instructor. As I am a person who doubts self a lot he really helped me in my confidence in driving and I was over the moon when I passed my test! David listens to you and has a lot of patience. He really puts his heart into helping his students. BEST DRIVING INSTRUCTOR.

David is an absolute great instructor! I was put at ease from day one, and it continued throughout every lesson. If you want a patient, friendly and well informed driving instructor, then David is the one for you. I passed my test first time, after 20 hours of lessons and it was down to his excellent teaching :).
