DIA - Driving Instructors AssociationI am a Driving Standards Agency ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) with over 20 years of training and professional driving experience. I teach in Port Talbot.
I offer a professional and friendly service to ensure that each pupil is instructed at a pace to suit them and maximising the results from each lesson to help the pupil get test ready within the shortest number of lessons. I do this by using a variety of coaching techniques and identifying each pupil's motivational needs, then relating to them during the lesson.
Even self professed nervous learners enjoy my lessons, many of whom have been given a less than satisfactory service from other driving instructors in the past and can't believe the difference that my supportive approach can make to their self belief and ability.

Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor. 8/10 of my pupils passed their Theory Test first time and 7/10 pupils in 2018 passed their practical test first time in 2015.
I aim to provide an enjoyable experience whilst also ensuring that pupils maintain attention to maximise the learning from each lesson.
I am a member of the Driving Instructors Association (DIA). This ensures I am kept up to date with all changes that affect the industry and also gives my pupils the peace of mind that I have adequate Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
I am regularly kept up to date with local issues relating to the industry and also working closely with the Local Authorities Road Safety Teams.

Learning with ger was amazing, always had regular lessons and he was always on time, he never pushed you out of your depths but always made sure to push you enough so you were always on track learning, he was also always making sure to point out all the little mistakes to help you succeed, he’s a nice man and I always enjoyed his lessons.

I had an excellent experience with Ger at Go with Ger Driving School. After struggling with three other instructors and not making much progress due to my dyspraxia, I was fortunate to find Ger. He is not only patient and understanding but also incredibly skilled at adapting his teaching style to meet individual needs. Ger made lessons enjoyable with great conversation, and he was always pleasant and accommodating. His teaching approach helped me gain confidence and improve my driving skills much faster than I expected. Highly recommend for anyone, especially those with additional learning needs!

I started learning with Go with Ger on the 29th of June 2024, I know I wanted to learn with Ger after hearing outstanding comments from other people who Ger had coached. After my first lesson I felt comfortable with Ger because he was so approachable with any questions I had and they got answered in a way I would understand which helped me a lot with my driving. After each lesson I found I was learning something new which boosted my confidence massively. Ger introduced me to the Total drive app which allowed me to see my progress after each lesson, I found this very helpful as I could see what my strengths and weaknesses were so I knew what I needed to focus on the most. I also found the Theory test pro to be extremely effective when revising for my theory test which I passed first time.

Amazing driving instructor, would highly recommended to anyone who is looking to start learning, I started with him in may and was passed by the end of July, he has been very helpful and patient during our time and has helped me push myself when I needed it. Also he has very helpful tools like the 2 apps we used, ‘theory test pro’ and the ‘total drive’ app which were very helpful when it came to revising for my theory but also communicating lesson times and availability for the weeks to come, and track my progress. Would 100% recommend.
