The Go Diamond School of Motoring, which is based in Crowmarsh Gifford (Wallingford), is operated by Graeme Rolfe. It is an independent driving school offering driving lessons and additional driver training to people throughout Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
With over sixteen years of personal experience in the driving instructing profession Graeme also calls on his vast knowledge and the training skills learnt from years in the hotel trade to help everyone achieve their aims.
Set up in 2003 the business is proud to have a wide client base made up of private individuals, local companies and Ministry of Defence personnel. The company expanded in 2008 with Ben Robins joining in order to help Graeme cope with demand in and around Wallingford. As demand continued Graeme recruited Gaynor Hopkins into the business in July 2016 in order to replace Ben and Dave Jarvest joined in April 2018.
All are fully qualified and DVSA approved driving instructors and offer calm, friendly and professional instruction with the aim of ensuring that The Go Diamond School of Motoring maintains its excellent reputation for helping people achieve their goals, whether that is to become qualified drivers, improve their driving skills or become a driving instructor.
The Go Diamond School of Motoring offers a comprehensive range of tuition which is designed to fit around people's existing commitments at all times. Using air conditioned, dual controlled Renault Clio, Volkswagen Polo and Ford Ka, lessons can be arranged to suit and cover a wide range of tuition requirements - including one hour introductory/assessment lessons, re-tests, motorway lessons, familiarisation lessons for foreign nationals, confidence building, intensive and semi intensive courses. With the continuing rising price of fuel we also offer instruction on environmentally friendly driving to potentially help drivers to reduce their fuel bills by hundreds of pounds each year. The business is also able to teach the Pass Plus course which is designed to help people become more skilful drivers and reduce the risk of being involved in an accident. It can also help get a substantial discount on the first year's insurance and best of all, there's no test at the end.
The company covers the areas surrounding Wallingford including; Abingdon, Benson, Cholsey, Didcot, Watlington, Henley and some districts of Oxford and Reading.

My instructor was Graeme Rolfe for all my driving lessons. He made me feel very calm and in control from the very first time I sat behind the wheel. I never felt panicked or under pressure even if I made mistakes because he would always talk me through everything really slowly and clearly. Without any stress he taught me how to drive safely and I got my license the first time around.

I have held a UK driver's license since 1980 but it was restricted to automatic transmission only. I decided to upgrade my license and on the recommendation of a good friend, contacted Go Diamond to learn "how to pass the test". My instructor was Mike Gilpen and he provided me with a keen insight into what to expect for the practical test, took me around the streets that would be used for the test and guided and encouraged me to break some long standing bad driving habits. Mike was very flexible and accommodation in arranging the times that suited me for the 3 lessons we thought would be required, provided me with extensive information about road safety, sign and line interpretation, round about positioning, and what to expect from the "Show me/Tell me" part of the test. He very carefully and skillfully worked with me to overcome some driving faults; never losing his patience or becoming exasperated. He managed to get me fully prepared for the test including the requirements of the special aspects of my situation and accompanied me on the date to the test centre where I used my car to take the test. His instruction enabled me to past the test first time, on the 12th of August at the Reading testing centre, with only 5 minor faults.
