For a total beginner, Garry made the process so easy to get on the road to learning. From the initial nervous lesson, he had the perfect balance of being a calm, focussed and professional instructor with bags of humour to make the most nervous drivers feel at ease. With each lesson, he gives you confidence to try new things whilst knowing the best way you learn. He was always on time, at a regular slot you can fit in with your routine. Block bookings were a bonus, and added advice ready for your theory test. Highly recommended.

Garry is one of the best driving instructors in Derbyshire. The value for money is there with having a 2hour lesson rather than one which allows you to learn so much more. I would recommend him to anybody.

Lots of good things to say about Garry well we're do I start. On time. Always keeps you up to date. Patience of a Saint. Can have a good laugh. If you have any concerns about any parts of your driving he will talk to you step by step until you get it right properly because safety is so important even if it takes months to sink in like me everything is step by step because Garry is so advanced in all driving aspects he won't disappoint because when you have booked Garry then you will be writing a good review same as me. I'm the most nervous of anything but he made me so confident and now I class myself as a good SAFE driver because of Garry I can't thank him enough only been passed a month yes I'm still learniing driving independently I have a new job which requires going to many service users as I'm a health care assistant so I'm on the road all the time and the amount of safety k kwledge which he has taught me has been used on the road and has kept me safe so thank you from the bottom of my heart Garry.

Cannot recommend Garry enough! Was so so anxious at the start but within the first lesson he makes you feel comfortable and is so patient and calm. Amazing instructor and will explain anything that you dont understand (which happened quite a lot with me as I get confused easily). Nice guy and can definitely have a laugh with him too. Totally recommend!

Extremely patient instructor who is very thorough in the learning of each skill and always makes sure I know exactly what each lesson will consist of. Garry also builds confidence in the learner through going through each skill at their own pace and will never rush through steps if the driver is not entirely comfortable.

Garry is honest and very patient. I have never driven before Garry but now have loads of confident while driving.

I would highly recommend Garry as a driving instructor to anybody. I’m not a confident driver but Garry has given all the tools I need to be a safe & responsible driver that my confidence has grown massively. He’s become more of a friend than a driving instructor. You If I have any questions or problems, I can contact him via phone, text or Facebook and I never feel left in the dark. I passed first time with 1 minor after 11 lessons with Garry.

Passed second time as all best drivers do! Garry is an absolute star. He's reliable, kind and very patient. Most of all, he becomes a really good friend but makes sure you know what you're doing. He's a very skilled and consistent person. I'd always recommend Garry no matter what! He's an incredible instructor and even when you're not having your lesson, he will answer any quesrions you have in the meantime by text.

I started driving lessons with Garry as quite a nervous driver. I didn't have a lot of confidence on the road after using a different driving instructor previously. Garry creates a comfortable, relaxed and completely professional approach to teaching people to drive. He went above and beyond to ensure that I understood every process involved with driving and taking my test. I passed my test first time and couldn't thank him enough for his help. Would highly recommend Garry to anyone who is looking to book lessons. I've had a couple of driving instructors in the past and found Garry to be the best by far! Garry is really professional, always turns up on time and the car is always spotless. He is really personable and easy to get along with. Garry is very focused on you as an individual and is genuinely interested. He's very patient and will adapt his teaching style to your needs, so if something is not working for you then he will find another method/way to do it that so your understanding is there. You always get feedback at the end of every lesson as to how you have progressed in each section on your driving and what to work on for next time. And he really does go the extra mile for you whether that is taking you to put fuel in the car for the first time or spending his weekend cleaning and polishing the car before your driving test or even giving you advice on insurance quotes and cars after you've passed. He's always happy to help and I feel I could approach Garry about anything in the future if I needed too. He's a great instructor who really does teach you how to drive and not only to pass a test - I have not felt nervous getting in the car by myself since I've passed my test which I think is only a testament to Garry and his teaching style!Moreexpand_more

I could not recommend Garry enough! He has taught me every skill I know and has been extremely patient, reassuring and positive whilst making lessons fun. I suffer with great anxiety so for Garry to be able to teach me and get me to pass standard is nothing short of amazing! Thank you for all your help Garry!

Garry was very helpful in trying to fit me in for lessons last minute after a previous inscructor let me down and has been brill in the time given to get the stuff I felt un confident with done. As well as helping me improve my driving he has helped build up confidence on the road and in manoeuvres. He also includes theory into lessons which is something I've always struggled with. Couldn't recommend a better instructor.

Garry has been a very fun and professional driving instructor. He quickly settled any nerves I had when it came to driving. I was always learning something new and developing my driving every lesson and I didn't ever feel like my money was going to waste. He made sure that I understood everything before moving on to the next part of my learning. Garry is very helpful and will answer any queries that you may ask when it comes to driving. Garry gave me learning resources for both my theory and practical tests and it all came in handy when it came to taking them.
