I cannot recommend Garry enough as a driving instructor! Thanks to his excellent guidance, I passed my driving test on the first attempt. From starting lessons at the end January to passing my test in July, Garry consistently arrived early for every lesson and was superb at explaining things clearly and thoroughly. His calm and supportive demeanor made me feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel. He was also more than happy to fit in extra hours in the lead-up to my test. If you're looking for an instructor who is professional, patient, and effective, Garry is the one to choose!

When my son went to Loughborough university, I started to research driving instructors. I had a conversation with Garry and was immediately confident in his approach. Lessons are a good length, the same regular slot every week - and he was happy to work with my sons timetable and with holiday periods. We were happy to wait until Garry had an opening for him. My son got a very short notice cancellation test date and Garry was able to respond quickly and support him for that test date. He is very flexible. As far as teaching is concerned, my son found Garry very likeable, structured and very calm. My son enjoyed learning with him, and now happily has a full driving licence. We would definitely reccomend Garry Needham.

As an international student, I began driving lessons six months ago, and last week I passed my first driving test. Gary is an exceptional instructor. He is patient, friendly, and takes the time to explain the importance of different maneuvers and actions, which greatly enhances understanding. Learning with him is both enjoyable and fun. On the day before my test, he reassured me and helped calm my nerves. I highly recommend him for learners of any level.

Garry is a fantastic driving instructor. Garry’s teaching is very interactive by using various methods and resources such as using his iPad to show different types of roads and situations that can happen which is helpful in building up the confidence and knowledge towards driving. I started with Garry just over a year ago after being dropped by my previous Driving Instructor. I have been with some for sometime when I started with Garry. My confidence was not badly. Am I driving anxiety was awful. Within that year of being with Garry. I had written my theory as it was about to run out and also I taking my driving test and past within that year I’ve been with Garry my skills with Driving have been fantastic. I had seen a really good improvement. I’ve not only with my driving skills but also my confidence was really boosted and my Driving anxiety went away. Garry is a fantastic instructor with bundles of patience and knowledge! I immediately felt comfortable and at ease when learning with Garry. It was immediately clear how much he prides his work, with a spotless car and an impeccable attitude to teaching! They say the best-taught driver pass first time, and if you want to do exactly that, Garry is the man for the job!

Gary has been an excellent instructor- always arriving early to lessons in an immaculately clean car. As a fairly nervous driver, Gary was very reassuring and didn’t let me give up. He arranged extra lessons on my request in the lead up to my exam and insured I was as prepared as possible to pass my test first time with just one minor fault. He has been very accommodating of my busy schedule and allowed me to flex and change lessons when necessary. Thank you Gary!

I 100% recommend Garry if you’re looking for a reliable driving instructor. Garry was always on time to lessons and I never had any issues with him. His teaching is really interactive and got me to up a test ready level quickly whilst also teaching my methods that would not only help me pass my test but more so driving in the future. Garry also held the umbrella all the way into the test centre for me while it was raining and completely eased my nerves on test day. A true gent. I am very grateful for all of Garry’s hard work over the past 5 months and could not recommend enough!

I cannot recommend Garry enough! Garry was always on time to lessons. The car was always clean. Garry went above and beyond for me - re arranging lessons as I could no longer do the day I was doing and also the week before my test fitted in multiple lesson for me. On test day it was raining and so I didn’t get soaked Garry walked all the way over to the car with me holding the umbrella! Many thanks! Really nice guy to learn alongside and really puts you at ease.

Thanks to Garry and his dedication to getting his students ready for passing on their first driving exam, I was able to do just that! Although a nervous driver at first, the month leading up to my exam Garry let me pick up extra hours to make sure I would be a comfortable and safe driver. He was never late, actually usually early, with the car always in a nice clean condition. I always felt at ease and could ask any questions if I was unsure on something. I really enjoyed my driving lessons, and don’t think I would have been able to pass first time if Garry wasn’t my driving instructor. I would definitely recommend!

I would recommend Garry to any relative or friend looking for a driving instructor. Over the last few months he has taught me to drive from scratch to passing my test first time last week. Garry is very punctual, well-dressed and well organised. The Ford Fiesta was was always spotless, sanitised between lessons and made the perfect car to learn to drive in! I found Garry’s undivided attention, patience, and the clarity of his explanations really helped me grow my driving ability and confidence. His affable nature also make him very approachable such that I felt I could ask him anything- there are no stupid questions when learning to drive! Garry is a calm, experienced and respectable driving instructor. By far the best instructor in and around the Loughborough area. During the 20+ hours of lessons I had with Garry, he was always 5/10 minutes early, ready to start. The car was in perfect condition, mechanically and clean inside. During COVID, everything was thoroughly cleaned between every lesson and masks were a neccessity. The professionalism shown through Garry was exeptional and well above any other instructor or school around LE11.

Garry is a skilled, professional and very experienced driving instructor. Due to his extensive experience, Garry has a great understanding of the challenges of learning to drive as well as being very adaptable with tailoring lessons for you to be able to practise and build confidence in all the skills you need to pass your test and independently drive a car. He also has a very good understanding of the driving test itself and you can trust him to give you the absolute best advice and tuition possible while never over-complicating anything. Doing driving lessons with Garry is not only enjoyable because he is very friendly and polite, but is also great value as you will always get the full lesson time you pay for and you will spend a very large portion of the lesson time itself getting as much practical driving experience as possible. Having started with almost no driving experience whatsoever to going on to passing my test first time, I can say with confidence that if I were to travel back in time and start the process of learning to drive all over again I would have no hesitation in choosing Garry Needham as my driving instructor again!

He is very professional, with lessons always being well structured in working towards progressive driving goals, and he always arrived early for lessons with the car clean and in perfect condition. He is very calm and patient with his teaching, making sure to address anything I was unsure about, and helping me to gain confidence on the roads. He has a very comprehensive knowledge of driving and teaches with a positive, encouraging attitude helping overcome any nerves I had, especially when I had no experience of driving prior to learning with him. Before driving on any new roads or learning something new, Garry would take time in fully explaining what I needed to do using visual tools such as his iPad, making me feel confident and reassured. He helped me reflect on and learn from my mistakes, prompting me to independently figure out what went wrong and how to improve it for next time. I have really enjoyed learning to drive and went from having no driving experience to passing my test not only with 0 faults but with the confidence in my own independent driving abilities.
