CF14 'School Of Motoring'

I cannot say enough how GREAT Rebekah is. I booked my practical driving exam late October after passing my theory and my original instructor couldn't take me to the exam so I ended up calling her last minute a couple of days before my exam and she went above and beyond for me. Moved things around after our call and booked me in for two intensive 3 hours lesson before my exam as well as taking me to the exam early morning. Due to the facts the lessons are 1 on 1 its very important for instructors to build rapport with students which R absolutely did. For example I remember driving around the Barry area and having her point out buildings we saw and explain to me the backstory behind them (I remember her pointing out one used to be an old monastery for sailors), really made me realise how hard she works to make lessons as interesting and engaging as possible for her students. Sharing stories about the places we visit and drive in, and trying to make lessons about more than just "being in a car for a couple of hours". She is very much a people person and I'm very happy I found her. I passed after working with her and if I hadn't passed I know I 100% would have kept working with her and let go of my original instructor, really, that's how great she is! She's friendly, calm and level headed when students makes mistakes, social, I could go on and on and on. I'm not even a 'reviews' kind of guy but after the massively positive lessons we had together I had to leave her some feedback, I genuinely cannot recommend her enough.Moreexpand_more

CF14 driving school has an incredible structure. The car is new and easy to handle, the communication emails and reminder classes also have a special touch, the website has a lot of important information and helped me a lot during the process. Barry does his job with such care and commitment. He doesn't want you to just drive he wants to see your best, he will train you to be a confident driver. From the Theory Test process to the Practical Test Barry acted as a guardian angel. He trusted me when I didn't trust myself. My results were excellent, I'm still over the moon, thanks to my hard work, all of CF14's dedication and Barry's incredible work - I can never thank you enough. Barry was a brilliant teacher for my daughter. He got her confident and enjoying driving. She passed first time. Prepared her very well for exam which went smoothly despite being cancelled by DVLA a week earlier. Giant thank you goes to Barry as he managed to reorganise lessons and car availability for the following week. Highly recommend CF14.

Barry is fun, caring and well-organised in three words. He knows all around Cardiff, likely to anticipate your route and get you acquainted with the roads. Barry has visual methods to teach you the trick, also explains the mechanics, helps a lot! The website is easy to use and intuitive to navigate through. Also, you can see yourself up there with other "passers"! You can listen to his entertaining adventures spread over seven years of being an instructor or have a meaningful conversation or become the next "great driver" he will talk about. You will feel safe around him and not fear making mistakes. He is punctual, even early in most cases. Watch out!The new car, BMW series 1- Alpine White, has so many technological toys which make it fun and easy to drive for a learner:- Picks up the speed limit from the signs and shows it on the dashboard- You do not need to fiddle around with the hand brake to take off- Has auto wiper and headlight options- You can set the speed and only think about the wheel- You can set a speed limit so you won't have to worry about going over the speed limitOverall, Barry is the instructor to accompany you on your journey of becoming a driver!.Moreexpand_more

I would recommend CF14 School Of Motoring to anyone, no matter their driving ability! Barry was patient, kind, calm and made me always feel safe, alongside making lessons really fun and enjoyable. He is extremely professional, and covers everything you would need to know with fantastic memorable methods and helps you evaluate your own progress. He was always flexible around my busy work schedule. I would not describe myself as a natural to driving but with Barry's teaching I passed first time!

Barry was great from start to finish, both in the way that he taught Iestyn to drive and also the ease of arranging and re-arranging lessons in the midst of lockdown restrictions. We'll certainly be sending Iestyn's sisters to CF14 when their time comes.

My instructor was Barry. He was absolutely amazing and so patient with me as I was a nervous driver at the start! So thankful to have had him. Recommend highly if you want an instructor you can feel comfortable with and one you know you can be honest with when struggling with even the littlest things and not be embarrassed. Passed first time and couldn’t be happier. Going to miss our lessons!

Thanks to Barry I passed my driving test on my first attempt, and what is more learnt to enjoy driving a car! He is a very patient, thorough and kind instructor who makes you feel relaxed driving in his presence but who you also know is keeping you safe due to his experience and good road awareness. He was always punctual and let me know in advance what sort of driving we would focus on in the next lesson. Learning to drive with Barry, is really worth it.

Barry was simply the most incredible driving instructor that my daughter could have had. I cannot speak highly enough of how amazing he was. He was incredibly organised and nothing was too much trouble. The on line diary booking system was great and he was also extremely accommodating and flexible, including booking the tests. Nothing was too much trouble. He was always on time and polite, arriving with a happy, friendly and positive demeanour which immediately put Hannah at ease. He was always extremely supportive, encouraging and reassuring to Hannah. This built her confidence and she learned and progressed quickly. CF14 School of Motoring were excellent teaching my daughter to drive. Barry, the instructor, was patient and encouraging and my daughter passed after only 20 hours of lessons over 2 months. His online diary was a great way to book lessons, and Barry was more than happy to pick her up from home or school and finish the lesson where she needed to be. Thank you Barry, I am no longer my daughter's taxi driver!

Barry! Where do I start? Learning with him was an amazing experience, he is so patient, encouraging, the most punctual person I know , always shows up early ! Barry isn’t your average instructor, he became like a father figure. Always asking me about work and life. Always ending lessons with a hug He made all the manoeuvres stress free. Barry was great, explained all aspects in detail and ensured that anything completed was done perfectly allowing me to pass without any faults (minors) within a few weeks of my first lesson. Conducted himself very professionally and was flexible with various aspects; would highly recommend.
