I went to Joel for a number of sessions which really helped with my personal mindfulness and resulted in reducing my overall anxiety. I am an autisitic adult working in a corporate environment and hence it can be difficult to focus. With these sessions with Joel it’s really changed my mindset to focus less on unimportant matters and channel my attention more strategically.
Joel has helped me overcome a significant anxiety problem. He used and shared several techniques with me and I am now in a much better and happier place than I was when we first met. He is easy to talk to, non-judgmental, and the overall experience was extremely positive. I would certainly recommend Joel!
Joel first helped me to overcome presentation anxiety about 8 or 9 years ago - it worked wonders and subsequently I actually enjoyed presenting! So, having tried a number of different diets to lose weight, I thought I'd look Joel up again to see if he could help me. Within 3 months I had lost 2 stones and six months later I have not regained the weight. Joel is incredibly resourceful in finding ways around personal issues. He is also completely non-judgemental and understanding of circumstances. For me, he used a combination of hypnotherapy, diet, exercise, mindfulness and sensory techniques and it worked wonders. The best outcome for me was being able to continue a normal life - I socialise a lot and eating is a big part of that - and still be able to maintain my weight. I cannot recommend Joel highly enough.
I came to see Joel to help me with my confidence issues to do with public speaking. I have always had a fear of public speaking, even on zoom calls which has been really hindering me in my career. I have to say this was way beyond what I was expecting. On the second session he used a method called Havening. It was remarkably effective and my anxiety has gone away completely. I've had a number of work meetings and zoom calls where I've been the host and it's been fine!
I broke my wrist and found myself needing an emergency operation. Since the death of my parents I’ve suffered with a phobia of hospitals, doctors, anaesthesia and anything medical. My anxiety over an impending straight forward op was off the scale. With only 10 to go before my op I decided to try hypnosis. Joel managed to squeeze me in for 2 sessions ( tbh I probably only needed one ). On thé day of surgery I felt no anxiety at all. In fact I found myself strangely looking forward to it. Can’t thank Joel enough and would highly recommend anyone give him a gi.
I found Joel, having tried many other therapies (eg cbt) for acute claustraphobia and anxiety that I'd experienced (for the first time) over a period of several months. Joel listened very carefully, and brought to his therapy a mix of techniques (cbt, mindfulness, hypnotherapy, among others) to suit my need. He made no claim for 'magic wand' solutions (because there weren't any) but he gave me the tools and techniques to resolve my issues, I believe permanently. He is also a very decent, kind, and witty man, and it was always a real pleasure to spend time in his company.
Having tried weigh-loss several times, and being successful only to find the weight creep upwards each time I stopped ‘the particular diet’. I realised my issue was my in my mind and my subconscious acts of snacking and eating all the wrong things. Joel helped me with hypnosis and mindfulness over a series of meetings and I now feel great, having lost all of the regain I am now eating healthy because it feels good and I am no longer snacking. I thoroughly recommend trying this for weight loss. Diet is not just about achieving a goal. It is about changing the mindset for life. Thank you Joel!
Joel really took on board what I’d explained about the triggers for my smoking habit, my lifestyle etc and really tailored my quit smoking hypnotherapy session. He really took time with me to ensure I never lit up again. Three weeks on and I have no desire to smoke! I totally recommend him!
I saw Joel Cantor for the 1st time and can honestly say I felt I was good hands. I’ve struggled with smoking on and off for years and found the session to have really helped me. He was very understanding, and made me feel relaxed. I found it to be value for money considering how much I spent on cigarettes plus the on going follow up support has been great. I highly recommend his services to anyone as Joel came highly recommended by my friend. I urge anyone that has difficulty with any matter to just try hypnotherapy. I’m delighted with the results and not had the urge like I used to. I’m quite astonished how it works tbh. Thank you:-).
Have had sessions for a fear of turbulent flights and sheer edges/drops…Flight was good, I nearly feel asleep and when it got a tiny bit bumpy I felt like it was rocking me to sleep. The biggest improvement was a bus we got along the cliff edge of the Amalfi coast - known to be a bit scary even without a fear - however I was absolutely fine, didn’t even flinch or think about it. Both me and my partner were shocked at the improvement. So chuffed!
I went to see Joel about quitting smoking. I needed the extra help as my partner smoked and so did a lot of my friends. That was just over 2 weeks ago and I haven’t touched a cigarette since. My partner also went a few days later and the results were amazing. It doesn’t bother me to be around people that smoke and I certainly don’t miss it. Joel was so nice and calm and totally put me at ease. I would most definitely recommend Joel to anyone wanting to quit smoking.
I've always struggled with anxiety since I was a child due to bad experiences and I thought I could live with it, but suddenly my health started going down, and no medical issue could be found. As I've tried almost everything to manage anxiety, I thought I would give Hypnotherapy a go, and it was a great choice! Joel is an amazing character and makes you feel comfortable and relaxed from the very beginning, and after only one online session (and some mindfulness homework) I feel capable of dealing with my nerves and I find it easier to relax. Will definitely recommend to anyone in my situation.
I saw Joel for interview confidence. The session was revolutionary and I successfully got the job I wanted a few days later. During the interview I felt a complete sense of calm, and for the first time was able to listen to questions without feeling nervous, and then answer them perfectly. I had a renewed sense of complete assurance. Joel was professional, easy going and tailored the session to suit what I wanted to achieve. Highly recommended.
Joel helped me at a time I was struggling enormously with the breakdown of my marriage because of physical, emotional and financial abuse. The mindfulness and hypnotherapy helped in my working towards letting go and working towards a peaceful outlook towards the rest of my life. I have taken the simple techniques he taught and use them as a part of my routine. It is not to be undermined. It really works if you put in the effort and are open to that change. Thank you Joel.
I was recommended Joel by a friend for my son’s phobia of dogs. We completed 6 sessions of hypnotherapy over a few months with fantastic results. My son no longer feels unsafe and anxious around dogs and he is able to enjoy walks and visiting new parks without fear taking over. Joel also provided a sleep meditation audio that my son requests to listen to every night and he’s asleep within 10 minutes. I found Joel friendly, professional and engaging and my son was comfortable and even looked forward to the sessions. I’m very grateful for the experience and the changes it has made to our life. I smoked for nearly 40years and had never managed to shake the habit. I had one session with Joel and have been happily smoke free ever since ! Joel was incredibly professional, warm and helped in his work by a beautiful speaking voice that put me completely at ease. I would recommend his services wholeheartedly.
