Walmsley Dental has been part of life in Droylsden since 1984. The practice was set up by Stephen Walmsley and is now run by his son Edward, who joined after qualifying with a BDS, and went on to complete a PGCert and Diploma in Implantology. Two generations of the same family, looking after generations of the same families - some of our patients have now been with us for forty years.

We're a private practice with a calm, unhurried way of working. The dentist who sees you at your first appointment is the same dentist who looks after your treatment from start to finish - whether that's a single filling, a course of Invisalign, or a full set of implants. You won't be passed between clinicians, you won't get confused about who's doing what, and you'll always know what comes next.

The practice itself is on Manchester Road in Droylsden, just off the M60. There's parking right outside and we're easy to reach from across east Manchester and Tameside. We're open six days a week including Saturday mornings, and new patients are always welcome.

What we offer covers most of what a private dental patient is likely to need. The cornerstone of our work is implant dentistry: single-tooth implants from £2,750, and full-arch All-on-4 restorations from £10,000 - Edward holds a PGCert and a Diploma in Implantology and places every implant himself. We use CBCT 3D scanning for planning, so cases are mapped out properly before treatment starts.

For cosmetic work we offer composite bonding from £350 per tooth, porcelain veneers from £750 per tooth, and Invisalign clear aligners on an all-inclusive plan from £4,500 (which includes all whitening and retainers). Where it suits the case, we sketch the new shape on the teeth in composite first, so you can see and feel the new look before committing to anything permanent.

Alongside the bigger work we cover all the everyday essentials - examinations, hygienist visits, fillings, crowns, bridges, and emergency appointments. Children are welcome, anxious adults are welcome, and we take time over the things that other practices sometimes rush.

Coming to see us is straightforward. New patients usually start with a free 15-minute discovery call by phone or WhatsApp - no obligation, just a chat about what you're hoping to sort out. From there, the next step is a £50 consultation, which we credit back against any treatment you decide to go ahead with.

We publish our prices openly. Every treatment plan you receive is itemised in writing, with no hidden costs and no surprise add-ons. We don't pressure-sell - if a patient comes in for an implant consultation and we think a different treatment would actually serve them better, we say so.

Practical things worth knowing: the practice has its own free parking just outside the door; we're a four-minute walk from Droylsden tram stop and ten minutes from the M60; we accept all major debit and credit cards, and we offer 0% finance for treatment plans over £1,000.
