We couldn’t recommend Chris Wynne highly enough! Chris helped my son, Sam, pass his driving test in just 9 months. From the very first lesson, Sam felt comfortable and at ease with Chris, which made such a difference to his confidence and progress. Chris was incredibly patient, supportive and encouraging throughout the whole process. He explained everything clearly, was always calm and reassuring, and helped Sam build his confidence as well as his driving skills. Sam genuinely looked forward to his lessons and felt that Chris gave him the knowledge and confidence he needed to become a safe and capable driver. A fantastic driving instructor who clearly cares about his students and takes pride in helping them succeed. I can’t recommend Ste highly enough as a driving instructor. From the very first lesson, he made me feel completely at ease with his calm, friendly, and patient approach. He explains everything clearly and breaks things down in a way that makes even the most challenging manoeuvres feel manageable. What really stands out about Ste is his ability to build confidence. He never rushes you, always encourages progress at your own pace, and gives constructive feedback that actually helps you improve quickly. His knowledge of the test routes and what examiners look for is excellent, which made a huge difference when it came to test day. Lessons were always well-structured, professional, and enjoyable, and Ste was reliable and flexible with scheduling. I contacted Tom Grainger Driving School after failing my first driving test with another private instructor. After my failure, I decided to try lessons with another instructor. Luckily, Tom Grainger School had some availability, and I was assigned Mark Hawley as my driving instructor. I passed with his help on the first attempt! I can’t recommend Mark enough - he was very patient with me (though I’m sure I was not the easiest to teach). He was helpful and always did his best to help me improve. I’m very grateful to Mark. Lastly, it’s worth saying that he is genuinely passionate about his job and wants you to succeed. Thank you, Mark .

Just want to say a MASSIVE thank you to Helen for completing the pre-driver training lessons with my 16 year old. Thanks to Helen, my daughter now has a great head start for when she turns 17 – definitely ready to hit the ground running! He’s chatty and can have a joke and it’s like being in a car with your best friend, always made the lessons comfortable and enjoyable.
