I had Chris Wynne as my instructor and couldn’t be more appreciative. Great instructor, very patient and supportive!

Our 17 year old son was taught by Mark Turton and has just passed his test first time with no faults - he’s over the moon! Mark’s a great instructor, friendly, reliable, patient, respectful and good at building confidence. Our son also completed the pre-driver training shortly before his 17th birthday which helped him master the basics off road before he started his lessons. This definitely got him off to the best possible start. Now both our sons have passed first time with Tom Grainger SOM.

Worst Driving Instructor Experience – Tom Grainger ? . I had a terrible experience with Chris berry which led to me failing my test. A few reasons why I would never recommend him: • Changed his car 3 times (last time was the night before my exam! ), so I had no time to adjust. • Cancelled lessons last minute - I went 10 days without practice before my test. • Gave me only 15 minutes of sat-nav training (the night before my exam! ) which caused me to fail. • Wasted my paid time on breaks, buying vape, and even stopping at his house. • Asked me personal religious questions right outside the test centre - very unprofessional. • Overcharged me (£130 instead of £126, plus extra minutes I paid for but never got). • Used constant swearing, called my driving “rubbish, ” and made disrespectful comments about me being from Egypt. • No structured lessons, just test routes, and ignored my weaknesses. He didn’t prepare me properly, disrespected me, invaded my privacy, and wasted both my money and my confidence. ? Honestly, the worst instructor and company I’ve ever dealt with. Chris Wynne was absolutely amazing and supportive and I felt really confident for my test. Cannot recommend him and this school enough ? .

Had Chris Wynne teach me up until I passed, and he was extremely helpful in letting me get on the roads for the first time, and until I got better and better. I wouldn’t have passed without him.

Had Steve McLaughlin as my instructor and passed first time. He was very patient with me and helped me with anything I didn’t understand or need to go over again.

Had my driving lessons with Chris Berry. He got me test ready quickly. Passed my test first time with only 3 minors. Great to have a chat with to be more comfortable on the road. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to learn and wants to be on the road in no time.

Great experience: I passed my test on the first attempt, with Steve as my instructor. He was very personable, friendly and knowledgeable which really helped to build a rapport and make progress. Whilst I picked up the skills relatively quickly, I found that I was getting quite stressed and anxious when encountering new challenges whilst driving. The thing I appreciate most is Steve’s incredible understanding and emotional intelligence here; giving me the confidence to persevere whilst also knowing how and when to provide additional coaching. I don’t think I could have passed my test without his guidance and support - I feel very lucky and grateful for that and couldn’t recommend this driving school any more enthusiastically.

I passed my test first time with chris berry! He really gave me the confidence I needed in my driving ability and taught me everything I needed to know, not only to pass the test but to be a good and safe driver beyond the test too.

Chris Berry was my instructor and can honestly say he is the best by far. I had 2 other instructers before Chris and although we have a laugh on our lessons he knows his stuff and helped me pass 1st time with only 5 minors.
