About The Waterman Practice
The Waterman Practice comprises four complementary therapies: homeopathy, Biofocusing, story clinic and poetry therapy. The purpose of these is to establish holistic health in ways that are integrative with orthodox medicine.
Homeopathic medicine is a globally growing holistic system of natural medicine that works to achieve physiological, emotional and spiritual balance. The remedies are dilutions of natural elements created in laboratory conditions and are safe to use, with no side-effects.
Biofocusing is my approach to energy medicine drawing on the work of a number of people such as Bill Bengston and Bruce Lipton who have demonstrated the effectiveness of paying attention in new ways to what the body requires for health.
The Story Clinic is a practical approach to what has been revealed by the research of David Eagleman in his book "The Brain, the Story of You". The sense of story is the glue that makes experience coherent, and when we pay attention to how we frame our stories, we are able to create health in responsible ways.
Poetry therapy draws on the immense power of language, and how it persuades the body in both conscious and unconscious ways.
Poetry is not merely a canon of recognised writing, but is actually a way for the body to express unique meanings, desires and demands. Paying close attention to these provides communicative relief and restoration of internal health.0 FreeIndex Reviews
