Welcome! I'm Sophie, a York-based Birth and Postnatal Doula.

As a Birth Doula I provide educational, emotional and practical support during pregnancy and throughout your labour.
My services include antenatal sessions to cover some education, a chance for you to share whatever is on your mind with no judgement from me, create a birth plan, attend appointments together and so much more. Continuous support is incredibly valuable and that's why you'll have constant access to me via phone/text throughout your pregnancy and two weeks before your due date I go on call 24/7 for your birth.
We will also have a session together after baby is born to debrief on your experiences and signpost any help you want.

As a Postnatal Doula I am here to support you in those precious and often overwhelming weeks after baby is born. Too often people aren’t given the care and support they need during this transformational time and I am here to give you just that. Whether it’s emotional support, taking baby for short periods so you can have a nap or a shower, supporting with breastfeeding, signposting further help, my priority is you. Sometimes all someone needs is to sit down with a cup of tea and have a conversation where they’re actually being listened to.
My hope is that by working together, you feel more empowered in your decisions and supported through such a vulnerable and beautiful time in your lives.

I believe that everyone should have the best chance at an empowered, positive birthing experience and a smooth transition into parenthood, whether it’s their first baby or their fourth.

I also have a Power Hour service, a one hour long call to cover whatever is on your mind - whether that's going through a birth plan together or debriefing on a birth experience, this time is dedicated to supporting you in whatever way you need.

Perhaps now more than ever, having that extra support and feeling like someone's in your corner is important.

I take on Birth and Postnatal clients in the York area, I offer different packages which you can see on my website but if you want a more tailored service then please contact me either via email or the form on my website and we can book in your free 30 minute call where we get to know each other a bit better to see if we'd be a good fit.
