About The Charity Auctioneer
Kevin Durham is a professional charity auctioneer, event host and TV presenter based in the UK. With a career spanning 20 years and over £10 million raised for charitable causes, Kevin brings the energy, experience and audience-reading skills of a television presenter to every fundraising event. He runs live auctions, structured pledge drives (fund-a-need), fundraising games and full event hosting, and has worked internationally across the UK, Europe and the United States, including a Monaco gala that raised over €1,000,000 in a single evening.
What makes me different from other charity auctioneers?
The entertainment background. I presented for Fox, Warner and Universal, interviewing the likes of Tom Hardy, Reese Witherspoon and Robin Williams, and I worked as a comedy film actor and producer before auctioneering. I even came within a whisker of my own Comedy Central show. Reading and holding an audience is my trade, and it’s why donors stay engaged and the bidding keeps climbing.
It also means I bring more than bid-calling. On the same night I can host the programme, run the pledge, and lay on a full entertainment package of games and comedy. Most charity auctioneers do one of those things.
I do all of them, from one microphone.
What I bring to the room.
- Over £10 million raised for good causes across a 20-year career.
- Over €1 million raised in a single Monaco evening.
- Fundraising targets regularly doubled, and once raised tenfold.
- A television and comedy background that sets the tone for the whole night.
- 60 to 80 events a year across the UK, Europe and the United States.
What makes a charity auctioneer worth hiring?
A professional reads and drives the room, so the bidding climbs and the pledge lands. The difference shows up in your final total, not just the atmosphere, and it usually outweighs the fee many times over. I would say that, of course. My reviews page says it for me.0 FreeIndex Reviews
