BAcC - British Acupuncture CouncilEstablished in 1995, The Acupuncture Pain Centre has many years' experience in providing complementary healthcare for those in pain and discomfort, whether internal or external and whether recent or long term. The centre is located in Bramcote near Nottingham.
The Acupuncture Pain Centre offers the highest standard of care to those in pain and discomfort. With treatment facilities in comfortable surroundings, the business has experience in helping those in need to get back on the road.
Problems for which good evidence exists include low back pain, dental pain, migraine relief, nausea and vomiting, tension type headaches ('short-term relief'), osteoarthritis knee pain (temporary adjunctive treatment), post-operative pain. For treating other complaints enquirers are advised to make contact to discuss their needs.
The centre is run by Martin Dean who has been practicing Chinese Acupuncture for over 27 years. He has 10 years lecturing experience in Acupuncture at The University of Lincoln, and is a member of The British Acupuncture Council. Martin aims to be calm, gentle, thorough and conscientious as well as effective.
Some people turn to acupuncture for help with a specific symptom or condition. Others choose to have treatment to help maintain good health, as a preventative measure, or simply to improve their general sense of well being. Because traditional Chinese acupuncture aims to treat the whole person rather than specific symptoms in isolation, it can be effective for a range of conditions.
Treatments are naturally carried out to the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Single-use pre-sterilised disposable needles are used at all times with comfortable insertion a priority.

I contacted Martin for some treatment on my lower back problems. From my initial contact Martin explained everything and I successfully placed an appointment. We discussed my problems and Martin assessed me and explained the treatments in details. I booked 5 appointments and have to say that I have benefited from the Acupuncture, Moxa Treatment and Cupping Martin Performed. When I first went to The Acupuncture Pain Centre I was at my wits ends and was ready to give up! I had never tried it before and so thought I would try my chances. Martin and Phillipa were both incredibly friendly and helpful which helped me to feel more relaxed, after a while I could see the benefits of the treatment as I didn't have as many episodes (tummy or illness)anymore and this was such a fantastic change for me. I went from a monthly appt to 3 monthly to 6months and then 8months to now where I only go if I need it. For anyone in doubt I would say go and try it you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I've gone from being sad and sick constantly to a few years later feeling well and I even managed to go back to college and then get a job! (and I never ever thought i'd work again! )This shows me there are other options than the doctors who never seem to be able to help and I am happy knowing that should oi need to go back and see martin I will be welcomed with a big smile.
