Start-2-Drive

I am glad to say that I passed my driver's test with the help of Paul at Start-2-Drive. Over the last few months, I have learned how to drive (again). Coming from another country (USA), there is more to learning to drive on another side of the road than just 'drive on the left'. The signs are new, there are more pedestrians here, and I was not accustomed to roundabouts. Paul was always very, very patient with me which is great for my anxiety. I appreciate all of his help and time. I feel safer having learned to drive in the UK with his instructions and lessons. Paul was fantastic from start to finish. Very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to get on with. He has a huge amount of driving and teaching experience and a good mix of constructive criticism, support and empathy. Would absolutely recommend for new drivers or anyone brushing up. Thanks again Paul.

I was always debating doing my driving lessons as I have severe anxiety, however, I bit the bullet and I’m so glad I did. I couldn’t have done this all without Paul. He understood my condition and always made me feel relaxed and at ease. I struggled severely with my confidence at first and Paul was so patient and helped me break down those walls and become a confident driver. Paul was always on time and I honestly couldn’t fault him at all. I’m very grateful that I had him as an instructor and I would highly recommend.

Passed my driving test first time. My instructor Paul was absolutely amazing, He is so patient and he really helped me build my confidence up to where it is. I would recommend him to ANYONE. He is truly brilliant.

Paul revolutionised driving for me. He is calm, patient and puts you at ease, which helped me to pass first time. He went out of his way to support me with extra lessons, which at times were later than his usual schedule. He is a brilliant instructor and ensures that your comfortability and safety during his lessons are paramount. I can’t thank him enough.

I was introduced to PAUL by a close friend who got her license first try. Prior before I met PAUL I have had awful experiences with about 2 different driving instructors. Trainning with PAUL reasured my hopes because he made the experience so easy and stress free, he always boost my confidence by always telling me not to fear and remain calm, I followed all his instructions and applied it on the day of the test, and I smashed it. I will 100% recommend Paul to anyone who has had his or her hopes dashed, you will get the license effortlessly.

I want to sincerely make a shout out to Paul for helping me pass my driving test first time. A friend of mine referred me to Paul, when I told her how my previous instructor keep delaying my test for No reasons. I called Paul on the 15th of July 2022 and told him about my frustration with my driving lessons both from lockdown and my previous instructors. I had intensive lessons of About 20 hours with in the space of 4 weeks with Paul. And did my test on 17th August 2022, And passed first time. Paul is an Angel in human form, he built my confidence and encouraged me that the test is doable, Although, I have had series of lessons from my previous instructors. He taught me everything I needed to do in the exams and how to be calm during my test. Even when I had concentration problems due to the heat waves Paul reassured me and taught me the easiest of all the manueours. He was very calm and patient with his teachings. On the morning of my test Paul patiently taught me few tips on how to perform well during my test because I was very nervous. I am a confident driver because of Paul. I am really grateful. This is the first time I made time to write a review to make sure it never goes untold and sure it's a good read for all those who intend to choose a good instructor! Just to give you all a background about my driving experience -I drove in India for almost 10 years with a full-time driver's license. After moving into this country (UK) I almost lost hope that I will once again drive or get a license. Driving has been my passion all my life! This passion was destroyed and ruined by several instructors by ways of scaring me, screaming at me, and literally abusing my driving. My passion died I thought!   This is me who passed my driving test a couple of weeks back on my fourth attempt! It's because I finally found the right instructor - Rumen!  Whatever I express here will be an understatement for this nice and friendly instructor. He is a lovely individual too. Right from day one, he built my confidence and I couldn't have asked for a better instructor. I am so grateful to have finally passed my practical driving test - first time too ! After months and months of frustration with my previous instructor who would constantly delay my test due to a number of reasons - I was pleased to have met Rumen (funnily enough) at a car park whilst practicing with my mum. To my amazement Rumen gave me advice regarding buying interior mirrors for my car to help with my parking- without even pushing hard to promote his service. I appreciated his advice so much that I took his details for future reference for family. A week went by and I was informed by my previous instructor that he would not be able to take me to my test - with less than a month to spare! To my amazement I contacted Rumen and asked if he would go with me for my driving test which he agreed. After this experience I most certainly believe that everything happens for a reason and feel so blessed to have met Rumen - as he boosted my confidence, he is truly passionate about his students and is most importantly a kind person. He really was patient with me and answered all of my questions. It is certain that he is not in it for the money ! I truly don’t regret anything but I wish I had known about this company sooner. Started my lessons with Paul back in April 2021 all I can say is thank u so much as of today I passed my test thank you for being a great teacher and being so laid back and genuine couldn't of done this with out u.

I cannot express how happy and grateful I am to God for having such a wonderful instructor Rumen. From the very beginning of training he was so patient and helped me overcome all my fears and worries about driving. We analyzed each of my mistakes and he always explained in an accessible way how to do it. Helped me to believe in myself. When I passed my test today, I cried with happiness and gratitude to this man. There are no words to describe my feelings. THANK YOU RUMEN!

I’ve had a few different instructors before using Start-2-Drive and Rumen was amazing. He was very patient and explained things really well when needed. Absolutely fantastic and would definitely recommend!
