About St Abbs Diving with Pathfinder
Established in 2009, St Abbs Diving with Pathfinder skipper has 18 years of experience in the diving profession, and provides diving, fishing and sightseeing to clients throughout world. Pathfinder is moored at St Abbs which boasts fantastic underwater scenery and is home to Scotland's only voluntary marine reserve. Whether above or below the water no one will be disappointed, with views ranging from the historic ruins of Fast Castle to a glimpse of minkie whales and dolphins breaching the seas.
Pathfinder operates under the MCA’s code of practice and is fully insured. All modern safety equipment is available onboard including oxygen, dive lift and individual life-jackets are available for each passenger.
St Abbs Diving with Pathfinder has and an enthusiastic Skipper Paul O'Callaghan who is a qualified BSAC advanced nitrox diver. Paul regularly dives at St Abbs for the last 18 years so has first hand knowledge of all wrecks and dive sites that St Abbs marine reserve has to offer.
Paul moved from Newcastle where he was involved with BSAC Club Fell divers, to have diving on his door step. All divers that use Pathfinder think it great having an skipper that also knows what best from a diving point of view.
Accommodaion for diving is priory view bed and breakfast which is non smoking and can accommodate up to 12 guests. All rooms are en-suite with colour TV, complimentary toiletries, hospitality trays, hairdryer, ample storage space and access to wireless broadband. Guests are free to use the residents lounge, outdoor sitting area next to the pond in the secluded garden and for milder days the indoor sitting area in the chalet. Everyone can also enjoy the gym equipment and a foosball table in the Chalet. Next door to the gym there is a dry room available especially for divers and ample parking space for 6 cars.
