Sophie's Driving Skool

At the ripe old age of 57, having never had a driving lesson in my life, I was extremely nervous and anxious at the thought of learning to drive, but choosing Sophie as my driving instructor was by far the best decision I ever made. Sophie’s relaxed, but extremely professional way of teaching and her utter belief in me bought out a confidence that I never knew I had. She pushed me out of my comfort zone, but in a way that I was always comfortable with. She’s incredibly calm and she teaches with patience, understanding and great humour. Alongside her brilliant lessons, Sophie also has a great YouTube channel and I found her videos and tutorials to be incredibly helpful and useful in preparing for my test. We would regularly practise test routes and the driving test procedure so that I knew what to expect on the day. By the time my test date arrived, I felt completely prepared-so much so that I passed my driving test for the first time with just one minor after only 6 months of weekly lessons. Passing my test has literally changed my life. I really miss our weekly chats but Soph has now become a friend for life. I honestly cannot recommend Sophie highly enough. I cannot recommend Sophie enough. She was patient, helpful and encouraging. Whilst she was extremely professional she was also very friendly and put me at ease from my very first lesson. I didn’t have a good experience with my previous instructor but with Sophie’s amazing guidance I passed first time! I would highly recommend her.

Sophie is a fantastic instructor, she is patient and can have a laugh. She helped me with my confidence and helped me prep my test by giving me a booklet to read through. She also has video tutorials you can look at. Thanks to Sophie I passed first time on both my theory and practical test.

Sophie is a amazing driving instructor she helped me build my confidence. She was very patient during my lessons and helped me prepare for my test by giving homework to look at such as videos and a booklet, Sophie was flexible with times and picked me up from work or home for my lessons. 100% recommend her well worth the money .

If you make a mistake, she explains it so well that you actually understand it compared to other instructors. Plus, she's really funny and you will not regret learning with her! Two tests and even more instructors later, while in a state of hopelessness, Sophie astonished me by not only helping me discover a comfort zone I never realised I had, of which passing my test was a direct result, but also enabled me to be a safer driver like no one before. I cannot recommend her highly enough! She will cover manual and automatic, lend you an entire folder full of information on driving, encourage you to bravely stick to your comfort zone during the test and be vocal throughout, prioritise you around test dates and help you become a better driver by making you practice what you least like (or fear most) when you least expect it. I could not have done this without her!

I would highly recommend Sophie to anyone. I had the best instructor who made me feel at ease from the moment I started my practical lesson with her. She explained everything so clearly and I was confident with driving straight away. I joined with no experience in driving and passed my practical test within a short time.

Sophie is an excellent instructor, I had refresher lessons and learnt things which I never knew previously. I felt confident to drive again after 10 years. Sophie has a very calm, professional manner and makes you feel at ease. Even though I have finished my lessons we are still in contact and she is there for advice and tips if needed.

I have had a full licence for over 10 years but lost all confidence in driving after not being behind the wheel for over a year. I took a refresher course with Sophie and she really gave me back my confidence. She's patient, knowledgeable, friendly and a great teacher. Sophie is the best instructor ever - my only regret is I didn't come across her sooner! She's patient and works through your challenging driving areas with you and makes you practice in a way that makes you feel comfortable so you really understand why you're making the moves you are. Before Sophie I'd had an instructor who basically just took me out driving each lesson, not really actually teaching me anything, and my confidence was low after a few failed tests that I'd been told to take when I wasn't ready. Sophie actively encourages you to practice in your spare time so she can work on making your driving good enough for the test. I'll definitely be recommending her to anyone who needs an instructor now that I've passed! Thanks so much Sophie!

Brilliant instructor! Iv had lots of different instructor's with other schools and Sophie is the best by far. She is very encouraging and patient. I would recommend sophies driving school to everyone! I passed my practical driving test first time with Sophie.

Awesome instructor! Sophie made me feel so at ease and gave me the confidence to go on and pass. I have had instructors before and I use to dread having my lessons, I honestly thought I would never enjoy my lessons, So therefore would not pass. Then I got a recommendation from a relative that she had used Sophie and that how good she was. Well she is amazing, so relaxed, took it at my own pace and most importantly she didn't shout at me! I have been in the UK for just over 3 years and at first thinking about driving in an unknown country felt frightening. However, through Sophie's warm and friendly personality, alongside her expertise and professionalism I have been able to learn the art of driving and recently passed my practical driving test. Sophie is an amazing driving instructor. I am now the 3rd person in my family who has learnt from her. Highly recommended!

Sophie was by far the best instructor I had. At first I had 0 confidence on the road but Sophie was patient, encouraging and was so calm that I started to build confidence. I am glad I made the choice to leave the previous instructors.
