Simon arrived on a Sunday morning and we discussed the problems I was having with my 55ft barge in close quarters in the marina and he immediately began giving practical advice on how to handle the barge showing me how to use the ropes to the best advantage when leaving the pontoon. We spent a day on the river with lots of practice in the areas I found daunting. The tuition was very worthwhile and I can recommend Simon to anyone who is looking for a skipper or for own boat tuition and practical advice. I look forward to seeing more of Simon later in the year when I am planning a trip away on the barge.

A fast and efficient delivery of 12m Van De Stadt from the east coast of England to northern Scotland. Some increased cost due only to adverse weather conditions, of course outside of anyone's control. Yacht well looked after and left clean and tidy; would not have known that anyone had been on board. Delivery made earlier than expected, taking the weather delay in to account. First rate job.

Simon Philips delivered my boat 'Injaz' from Sweden to Portland in 2009 and since then he has sailed with me on several positioning voyages around the coasts of the British Isles and France. He is a very accomplished skipper who is just as happy to act as first mate - and gently let the skipper know if there is a better way of doing something! He is also a very patient teacher and has provided my crew with hours of sailing tuition whilst on board. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone.

I bouth my Beneteau First 44. 7 in Nante, France in 2010 and was very satisfied with the delivery to Norway taken care of by Seaway. Seaway took care of all its own travel arrangments and interacted and conducted handover with the seller in France before sailing the boat to Norway. The entire service was delivered in the most professional way by Simon and his crew and all documents/insurance etc required were provide timely. Good process upfront of delivery agreeing on dates. I would not hesitate using Seaway again at another time.

Simon has a rare combination of experience, supreme skill and an easy reassuring manner. He excels at both yacht delivery work and own-boat tuition. He has delivered both gaff-rigged and more modern vessels for us and taught our children to sail. We really look forward to engaging him again in the near future.

I boat my boat in Lymington and they sailed it to Gran Canaria for me. The experience was easy and was trouble free. I was kept informed each step of the way. The boat was left in a clean and tidy fashion as they found it despite a 3 week sail across the Bay of Biscay. Would recommend their services for boat delivery highly.
