Chris is an amazing instructor who has a very good way of conveying information while keeping you relaxed when you make a mistake. Chris brings a great personal touch to his professionalism that I cannot recommend more. From never driving a car on the road to passing both tests first time in 7 months. 10/10 service, you’ll feel sad watching him drive away for the final time as he is a pleasure to be around and a fantastic instructor. Also his theory portal is better than any of the apps, don’t waste your money!

Chris is an amazing instructor. Having had a not so positive experience in the past he was patient, understanding and enhanced my confidence in driving where I was previously anxious and hesitant. Chris is a great communicator both in terms of explaining manoeuvres and directions as well as being kind and chatty making lessons a positive atmosphere I looked forward to. Whenever I had questions he always explained it in whatever way made sense to me and provided lots of resources to help me improve. Highly recommend!

I'd highly recommend Chris. He was great throughout. I'd put off driving for years so was nervous to start but he really put me at ease. He was always patient and calm, and really helped me build my confidence.

Chris is an excellent driving instructor! I put off learning to drive for a very long time as I never thought in a million years I would be able to learn however from my first lesson I was made comfortable and filled with confidence by Chris! Chris has a fantastic teaching style and talks through manoeuvres and makes them really easy to follow and complete! Chris would make sure that each lesson held a section of driving and manoeuvres so that it became second nature! Chris was really patient and would always give reminder and aid when needed. Chris was always very relaxed and calm throughout lessons whilst remaining professional this made me feel at ease throughout my lessons. Chris was very reliable I was doing lessons for two years after I injured my back and had to cancel and rebook my test and Chris never missed or cancelled a lesson and was always on time arriving at the pick up spot. Chris also did his diary on the same day every week and would take your availability every week to ensure he could fit in a lesson when would suit your schedule. Chris has an app that he provides all his pupils with everything you will need to complete your theory test and practice at no extra cost and also provided many materials for revision for completing manoeuvres and how to guides for all aspects of your lessons which I found very useful. Price was excellent! Cheaper than most driving instructors in Dundee with still an entire hour lesson compared to some other instructors who offer 45 minutes! Super grateful for Chris and route 66 driving school they have given me so much freedom after passing my test with only 2 minors!.Moreexpand_more

Chris was absolutely brilliant with me. I came back to learning to drive after a big break and he was calm and kind at all times. He was supportive and always made me feel relaxed. When it came to my test he supported me in going over every tiny detail and I passed as a result. Thankyou Chris!

Our son has done very well with Chris. The one hour lessons have worked well for him and are excellent value. Our son passed first time with one minor fault. We are very grateful to Chris for all the work he has done! Would highly recommend Route 66.

He has been very helpful and will tell you when you're doing well but also help you improve on areas that you are struggling with. Chris, is a great driving instructor, so patient and always has a funny story to tell, which helped me relax and made me look forward to our lessons. I was driving for a while so was a confident driver already. However I had my test coming up and thought it would be best to get one. Chris taught me so much that I didn’t even think were needed to be taught to drive on the roads, and thankfully I passed my driving test all down to chris. If you are worried about driving on the roads or not sure what driving instructor to go to, chris is your guy! So down to earth and funny. You’ll be past in no time!
