My Instructor was Clare she was honestly brilliant as an instructor and is more of a good friend now, she is adept at keeping you calm (which was especially good considering how much anxiety I have) and being patient, she is very good at explaining and breaking down how to drive, she is also Disability Friendly which is reassuring, I cannot stress how vital she was to passing my driving exam and I consider her to be a friend for all the time we spent together.
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience of learning to drive than I had with Suzanne at Round the Bend. Having put it off for many years (I’m 37), I was really anxious about getting behind the wheel but Suzanne put me at ease so quickly and was so patient and reassuring with my struggles along the way. She really took the time to understand my individual learning needs, and I felt very comfortable being able to express what I was finding hard and why so that we could address it. In the end, I passed first time - which I genuinely never would have believed would be possible! Thank you Suzanne, you’re brilliant :).
What can I say? My instructor Gemma has been so amazing, I cannot praise her enough! From the very first lesson I felt comfortable and safe under Gemmas guidance. I have struggled in the past (with other instructors) to find lessons engaging but Gemma pushed me just the right amount to keep me from getting bored. I have been putting off getting my licence for 17 years and in 4 short months Gemma got me there, passing first time with only 5 minors! Over the moon!
Gemma was an amazing instructor, she was very calm and understanding of nerves or mistakes and gave great insight and feedback on how to improve. I had bad days and good days and her attitude stayed the same really, just overall supportive and positive. Made you feel like you were making progress and her way of teaching was pretty much flawless. Had good laughs and conversations too and made you feel like a person and she genuinely cared about me and what I did in my spare time aswell as my road towards passing.
Gemma was recommended to me by a close friend and I’m so glad I finally learnt to drive with her. (This was my third time trying ! ) Gemma is really patient and supportive but also good at pushing me when she knew I could do it (my nerves often held me back) She enabled me to progress at a steady safe pace so I could get the most out of each lesson snd the best value for money. Thank you Gemma.
Duncan was an absolute dream, I don't think I would be as confident as I am driving if it wasn't for him! He stuck by me when I really struggled and helped me to work at my own pace. He is such a lovely man, it became just driving with a friend and I cannot thank him enough for this!
Passed today thanks to Mark Tester's excellent teaching. He is a very patient, friendly and thorough instructor who left no stone unturned when it came to sharing his knowledge of what is required to pass and knew the routes around my test centre well. Prior to Mark I was also taught for a while by Steve Roberts who helped me progress from being a complete beginner to having a decent grasp of core driving skills. I would definitely recommend Round The Bend to anyone looking to learn to drive. Thanks again to Mark, Matthew and Steve!
5* review for Mark Tester! What an amazing guy! I had previously struggled with driving, but Marks patience, expertise and fantastic teaching helped build my confidence and skills, which led to the pass. Would truly recommend him as a teacher and the school as the best place to learn to drive. Thanks Mark!
