Round The Bend Driving School

I'd put off learning to drive for years but Clare made me feel totally at ease and I managed to pass first time. I've recommended her to anyone I know who's looking for an instructor.

I learnt to drive with Gemma. Over all I've had a fabulous experience, she's alway's had words of comfort and made my learning to drive journey easier. I really appreciate all the time, effort and commitment Gemma has put in to helping me pass my practical test :).

Gemma was 2nd driving instructor very calm and patient got me through my test on my second attempt highly recommended.

I would just like to say thank you to Mark Tester for getting me through my test, really appreciate the way he teaches with lots of patience. He is a very experienced and knowledgable instructor and I would definitely recommend him and the driving school.

Gemma was an amazing instructor, she was very calm and understanding of nerves or mistakes and gave great insight and feedback on how to improve. I had bad days and good days and her attitude stayed the same really, just overall supportive and positive. Made you feel like you were making progress and her way of teaching was pretty much flawless. Had good laughs and conversations too and made you feel like a person and she genuinely cared about me and what I did in my spare time aswell as my road towards passing.

I had Clare as my instructor. I can't praise her enough! Made lessons enjoyable, fun and personalised tailored lessons to what I needed to work on. Also went the extra mile to fit in extra lessons in lead up to my test.

Gemma was recommended to me by a close friend and I’m so glad I finally learnt to drive with her. (This was my third time trying ! ) Gemma is really patient and supportive but also good at pushing me when she knew I could do it (my nerves often held me back) She enabled me to progress at a steady safe pace so I could get the most out of each lesson snd the best value for money. Duncan was an absolute dream, I don't think I would be as confident as I am driving if it wasn't for him! He stuck by me when I really struggled and helped me to work at my own pace. He is such a lovely man, it became just driving with a friend and I cannot thank him enough for this!

Passed today thanks to Mark Tester's excellent teaching. He is a very patient, friendly and thorough instructor who left no stone unturned when it came to sharing his knowledge of what is required to pass and knew the routes around my test centre well. Prior to Mark I was also taught for a while by Steve Roberts who helped me progress from being a complete beginner to having a decent grasp of core driving skills. I would definitely recommend Round The Bend to anyone looking to learn to drive. Thanks again to Mark, Matthew and Steve!

I had the pleasure of learning to drive with Madeleine over several months in 2024 and 2025. She's an attentive, calm and experienced teacher and was very helpful by taking me to many of the more challenging driving test areas around burgess hill prior to my test. As a result of her very effective teaching methods I was lucky enough to pass my driving test first time and I am now driving independently around Brighton. Would highly recommend!

I took up driving lessons after a long time, I've just passed thanks to Duncan's excellent tutoring. It feels like there's a lot at first and I wasn't confident but going through the solid routines, allayed with Duncan's calmness, turned me into a driver amazingly! Thank you Duncan!

Juliette has been absolutely fantastic! Patient and calm at all times and extremely easy to talk to, exactly what's needed with someone whose nerves are either zero or through the roof. Super helpful with scheduling and rescheduling the test as well. We got the Pass! :D.
