A professional calligraphy service founded in 2009. Angela at Periwinkle Calligraphy started her calligraphic journey in 1996. Angela a former tutor for the WEA creates a variety of work as shown on her newly named and designed website. Just click on 'Catalogue' then choose a 'Category' to view her work.
Commissions. Everyone loves to receive a gift that has been created especially for them, and what better gift could there be than a specially hand written love letter, poem, or song, with artwork to compliment.
Each commission is unique, not just one of many. Using square edged or pointed steel nibs, the letters are carefully written onto a soft white paper with lightfast inks. For illumination superior artist quality paints are used for their rich colour pigmentation and lightfast qualities.
New - Floral Calligraphy Prints, these are verses of wild flowers that have been written specially for me to combine my passion of both calligraphy and watercolour painting. Some verses have an alternative layout and design. This edition of prints is still ongoing, but the first few prints are now available for sale via my website.
Weddings / Events.
Names can be added to save the date cards, place name cards, and invitations.
Place name cards can be either a clients own cards, or cards are offered as either hand crafted with embellishments, or a simple card as shown on my website.
A choice of ink colour is offered, however, I find that brides usually prefer black ink.
Original Work. A selection of my original work is available for sale, each unique, a one off as you might say, no copies having been made.
Good quality paints and inks have been used for their lightfastness and colour pigmentation.
The items are either framed for immediate display, or are supplied with a pale ivory mount ready for a clients own frame.

I write poetry, and my niece requested as a wedding present two of my poems about my late father, whom I loved, and whom she loved, as his granddaughter.
