AFTER 3 YEARS OF STUDY - I'VE HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH PENNY PRICE AROMATHERAPY LTD. OTHER STUDENTS SHOULD KNOW BEFORE THINKING OF DOING A COURSE WITH THIS COMPANY. Had my final exam 6 weeks ago for the Clinical Diploma of Aromatherapy. Found out on the day I passed and was told to expect my Diploma certification within 2 weeks, at most. It is 6 weeks later and still don't have it. All sorts of excuses have been made by the office team - including Ms Price has gone on a cruise. But I've found out today the cruise was only a week, so goodness knows why she has been too busy over the other 5 weeks to sign something which takes about 5 seconds. This is important to me as I've studied very hard over the last 3 years. It's not good enough. I cannot practice until I receive this certification as I need it for membership of the IFPA and to get my Insurance setup. They just don't care.I feel that as I have paid all the money for these courses - Penny Price and her team have just dropped me and do not care as they have their money. Ms Price's name is on the business and the certificate and it is certainly shows a lack of respect and responsibility towards me as a student. I am so disappointed being treated like this.I have lodged a complaint with the governing body over this. I will continue to let others know and advise to be wary when considering being a student with this company as in my experience - the head office is not interested in supporting you.Moreexpand_more
I attended the Massage course with 2 other students. Debbie our tutor throughout the whole 5 dyas was attentive, supportive and enthusiastic. The professionalism of the course was evident from the start, and I have come away feeling equipt to start practsing my new skills, but also with the knowledge that help is available if I need it. I feel the course was exceptiionally good value for money.
The price of the day course was what I would expect to pay for a 1day CPD course. From the moment I arrived the attention I received from the staff was attentive and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and every effort was made to ensure the day ran smoothly. The course material was good and plenty of additional information was provided by the tutor, whose extensive experience was shared willingly and added a quality to the training which cannot always be found in books. It is this which makes a good training experience an exceptional one.
I've just received my certificate of distinction for the Associate Diploma in Clinical Aromatherapy! Marvellous tutors, wonderful office staff who are willing to bend over backwards to help in any way whatever the question or requirement regarding the courses or their fabulous range of oils and products. I left school at 16 and would never have thought that I'd attain a level 5 diploma after all these years and that is thanks to their care and dedication for their students and clients alike. Their care and attention of their students is second to none and I have since telephoned for information, guidance and support with clients and they know everything that you may ever need about setting up a business and helping with clients or extra studying/books etc. I cannot rate this company high enough and am even more impressed having just completed another course with them this last week. Thank you so much x.
Attended Hot Stone Massage course October 2012 - as usual made welcome from the minute I walked through the door. Detailed course notes supplied, practical demo given with plenty of time given to practice new skills. New tutor for me at Penny Price - Wendy, found her very helpful and she gave lots of her own input from her own previous experience. Looking forward to attending next study session.
A very informative Chemistry of Essential Oils course which has shown me a completely new approach to choosing oils by chemical composition rather than methods taught by my previous tutors. A fascinating subject, very clearly explained by excellent tutors. Would recommend this course and training provider to all aromatherapists.
If you are serious about Aromatherapy then the Chemistry course is for you. Not having used chemistry in a long time I was concerned that I would be "lost", but my fears were unfounded, the tutors and info given clarified the subject. The course has increased my knowledge of how and why Essential oils interact, just wish I had taken this course sooner.
I've attended several courses at Penny Price and have always been impressed by their knowledge and expertise. The last CPD course I attended, Aromatherapy for Infertility, was very interesting and covered the majority of infertility issues you would expect to encounter in private practice.
Debbie and Sandra made the course of Chemistry of Essential oils, so easy to follow and understand. They were great tutors and even made Chemistry look, dare I say it, easy! Great course, can't wait and wouldn't hesitate to do another course at Penny Price Academy, thank you.
The 1st module of the Anatomy and Physiology training was well presented and amazingly interesting (we are fascinating creatures after all! ). Sandra made what could have been a dry subject fun and enjoyable. As well as inputting knowledge of the subject she was able to answer our many questions with her wide experience. The facilities were comfortable and welcoming as were the support staff and everyone I came into contact with. I just have to get my homework done now! Thanks to all.
After attending the "Essential Oil Chemistry for Aromatherapists" at Penny Price Aromatherapy Ltd. I would like to point out that - once again - the hospitality, knowledge and kindness made me feel as if I was at home (in Greece) with my friends working on marvellous cases and finding exceptional solutions to help people. Thank you once more for such a wonderful experience. Mary Zorzou (GREECE).
I recently attended the hand reflexology day at Penny Price Academy. It was a very good course. I would recommend it to anyone wishing to either learn from the beginning about hand reflexology, or for the practitioner who just wishes to refresh their knowledge of same. It is one of several days I have had there, all of which have been very professionally given with good, clear handouts at the end. It is good to sit in smaller groups for learning. I like the way you all sit around one big table to do so with the tutor in the theory part of the day. Thanks for a good days CPD. Look forward to another one next year. (It is also nice to have a CPD venue in the midlands.).
I was delighted to receive my Anatomy & Physiology Diploma recently and have just enjoyed Mod 1 in Clinical Aromatherapy. Thanks to friendly and supportive Tutors I am 2 steps nearer to achieving my goal of becoming a Clinical Aromatherapist and working in a Hospice.
I have just completed my 4th course at Penny Price, this one was in Lymphatic Drainage Massage. This 3 day course was really well taught and I enjoyed it very much. The college offers really good courses and has helped me to re train and change my career. Helen Kenyon.
