Owen is a 5 star man in a 3 star world. I really looked forward to my lessons every week, Owen built up my confidence in the car with well structured lessons and a relaxing, patient demeanour. I’m very happy to have passed my test but also quite saddened that our time in the car has come to an end. I would recommend Owen to anyone, looking for a supportive and friendly teacher who creates a stress free environment. Thanks again Owen!

I had the pleasure of learning to drive with Owen Mockford, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. I initially contacted Owen in May 2024, having had no prior experience of driving a car. Owen's professionalism, patience, and extensive knowledge quickly brought me up to speed, and I was able to pass my practical test on the first attempt in February 2025 after 60 hours on the road. Throughout the entire learning experience, Owen was incredibly patient with me whenever I made mistakes and always provided constructive advice on how to improve. His calm and reassuring demeanor made me feel safe and confident, never once feeling insecure or nervous about my driving or progress. Owen's was also very flexible with timings and was always accommodating towards my work schedule, often shuffling around our lesson dates to make things more convenient for me. In addition to his professional attributes, Owen is a genuinely lovely person. Lessons with him never felt stuffy or awkward; instead, they were enjoyable and engaging. His lessons are always so well prepared and unique to what you need, rather than a one size fits all. An incredibly thoughtful, thorough and intellectual instructor is how I’d describe Owen; he has gone way beyond the standards I would consider a great driving instructor to be. Every lesson Owen would be 100% aware of everything, and give me a complete understanding of how I could become a better, safer driver. What I would consider a great aspect of these lessons though is how structured they are, he really does teach in a structured manner, so I always felt like I was receiving a true lesson as a student and not just driving someone else’s car. Thank you for making this learning process as smooth as can be, and for helping me receive my first time pass.

Owen Mockford is definitely the go-to for when it comes to driving instructors. He provides clear and easy steps when it comes to learning something new. He is also very patient and supportive with you if you don’t get things right the first time. If I had to learn to drive again, he’d be the one to go to.

Owen is an amazing instructor who massively helped me build up my confidence behind the wheel. On every lesson he was calm and incredibly patient and would explain different things especially well. He is extremely friendly and every lesson with him was enjoyable :) I couldn’t recommend him enough!

I passed my driving test last week after taking driving lessons with Owen for more than a year. Learning with him has been an incredibly positive experience. He has always been patient, kind and supportive throughout, with a very professional and friendly attitude. He made learning to drive a fun and enjoyable experience!

Owen for sure has earned a spot in the driving instructors’ Hall of Fame! He is incredibly patient (he even let me bring my baby along to the lesson when my childcare arrangements fell through! ) and very reassuring as I began to learn to drive. It is clear how much Owen cares about your progress as a student, preparing you not just for the test but to be a safe and confident driver for life. Each lesson is well thought out and has clear learning outcomes. Given how well Owen prepared me, I passed my test on the first attempt and now feel well prepared to drive on my own. On top of that, Owen is a genuinely lovely guy, always up for a laugh, and I really enjoyed our lessons together. What a journey! Began my journey towards a licence with Owen, pre covid! We had 3 stops maybe 4 due to covid and unforseen circumstances. No fault on Owen. 3 years later and 4 months late on the review, I cant express my gratitude enough. Patient, knowledgeable, a good listener and super cool at dual problem solving with your explanations at to what's going on in your head, when I got panicky in moments and tried to process he was a constant star. Brilliant instructor, really helpful explains how and why to drive the car in the best way possible. I managed to get a 1st time pass because of his great teaching.

I had learned mostly with my parents and was only able to squeeze in two lessons with Owen before passing my test (first time) however I consider those two lessons invaluable to my eventual success. Owen has a relaxed and friendly manner which took away a lot of the stresses natural to all learner drivers while at the same time providing insightful and truly impactful critiques which elevated my driving enormously in such a short span of time. Could not recommend highly enough!

Owen was a great instructor! He's very friendly so I never felt nervous or anxious when driving. He was always very reassuring and didn't waste time. I passed first time with him as my instructor which I am very pleased about and would 100% recommend him to new learners!

I had not driven for 20 years after passing my test, so was essentially starting from scratch again. Owen has been a brilliant instructor for my refresher lessons, giving me the confidence to get safely back on the road. Owen is calm, patient and knowledgable in teaching the techniques needed to drive safely. His constructive feedback helped identify and address areas and skills to focus on, and where I did make a few mistakes, Owen’s reassuring approach helped me to reset and get back to basics. He is an utterly brilliant instructor and an all round great guy, would highly recommend!

Owen is a fantastic instructor, he really helped build up my confidence with driving and was so calm and patient with me, especially after the lockdowns caused us to have long breaks between lessons. He got me to a point where not only have I now passed my test, but I really enjoy driving (something I never thought I'd say when I first got behind the wheel of a car! ).
