Ahmed is the best driving instructor you could ask for! He throws you right in at the deep end from day one and doesn't mess around with getting you driving in busy conditions, all whilst making you feel very safe and having a laugh as you go! His teaching methods are excellent and he's extremely dedicated to ensuring that you get your license, I passed first time thanks to Ahmed and Viv the Volkswagen! Couldn't recommend On Pole more!

Words can’t really express what an incredible teacher Ahmed is:Lessons were the perfect blend of being able to laugh and natter, while always learning. I think he goes beyond making you pass your test (first time) by teaching you how to think for yourself, to be a safe, confident driver for life. I found he easily explained things in a way I could understand and had so much patience even when it was taking me ages to conquer reverse bay park! He cleverly adapts lessons so you are constantly at a level where you are pushing yourself yet feel at ease. As a woman it was important to be taught by someone I felt comfortable with, and Ahmed was the utmost professional. I am so grateful and cannot recommend highly enough. .

After having trialled three other driving schools, I consider myself to have been exceptionally lucky to have come across Ahmed. I don't often write reviews, but am very grateful to have benefitted from Ahmed's teaching style. I echo what others have written - Learning to drive is a complex task. While having a great level of awareness and insight into knowing how much to push you to achieve your best (even on bad days) Ahmed is a really nice person with a great sense of humour, which can help make the challenging days more fun and tolerable. Ahmed thank you so much! Now I've passed my test, I look forward to further lessons in future on the motorways. Can only say you've been fortunate to come across On Pole Driving School - Ahmed is exceptional!

Recommended to learn with On Pole through a family friend. First lesson and I was driving straight away, no time was wasted talking about learning and theory. Helped a lot with nerves and made it as relaxing as can be. Helped with my theory and passed the exam first time!

Ahmed is a fantastic teacher. He really got the best out of me, dropping me straight in at the deep end and helping me progress every lesson. I learned through his constant ability to get me to reflect on my own driving. He was great at answering any questions I had and made learning to drive the rewarding and fun experience it should be. Ahmed Hussen is the man for the job! Such a pleasure to be taught by someone so friendly and genuine. Every penny well spent. My driving had improved dramatically within such a short time from being taught by him. So grateful. Highly recommended. I'd give him a 10/10 for humour too. Top guy.

I thought that I would struggle learning to drive for the first time at 29, but I was immediately made to feel comfortable and confident that I could do it. Ahmed ascertains Any experience you have and what areas need extra support and works with you to get you to understand what needs to be done/ what the car is doing with certain instructions. He doesn't just tell you to do it correctly- he makes you feel confident in your driving ability and doesn't patronise if an area needs more attention. I am very critical of myself and even when I did something correctly, he could see that I wasn't fully happy if it didn't go exactly to plan and would work with me to work through the issues. He praises when applicable and keeps you focused throughout. He is very supportive and also helps with theory practice when needed by asking a couple of questions to keep you thinking about it. I also get quite nervous and he talked through with me my issues with nerves as my test date approached. He listened to my concerns and helped come to a solution with me. He kept me calm in the lead up to the test and was always reassuring. He always made sure that a lesson where there were any mistakes didn't affect my next lesson by ensuring it wasn't over analysed unnecessarily. I was having 2 hour lessons weekly from September until April and I passed first time with 3 minors. I felt like Ahmed was so supportive and helpful to get me to this stage after not driving before. He always does as much as he can to ensure the lesson times are suitable and is very accommodating with times and arrangements. As someone who had no previous driving experience and thought I would useless at driving, Ahmed turned me into a confident driver and I passed my test first time. I found he would adapt his teaching style to suit the driver. If you're looking for an instructor who is professional but also have fun during your lessons, this is the place.

Having had a REALLY bad experience with my previous driving instructor I lost my confidence and pretty much started to hate driving. Ahmed was recommended through a friend and he was just amazing. Very patient and most importantly knows how to explain things in a very calm and clear manner. I highly recommend this driving school as I am currently a very happy driver!

I couldn't recommend On Pole Driving School enough. I was able to pass first time with only 2 minors but I didn't learn to just pass my test, I learned how to drive. I was a nervous learner but was encouraged to overcome that without even realising it. I'm now a super confident driver and it's all thanks to the support and guidance I had from my instructor. Rather than being told what to do, I was encouraged to think about how my actions influenced other road users which helps me even now, nearly a year after passing my test. I strongly recommend this school to any learner who wants the skills to learn how to drive and not just to pass the test.

I couldn't have asked for a better driving instructor, who was so welcoming and always kept me calm. Extremely supportive and helps you learn in the best way that would suit you. I loved getting straight into things and progressing quickly with lots of support and encouragement.
