I honestly couldn’t recommend No L’s driving school enough! Pete was incredibly kind, extremely knowledgeable, patient and understanding throughout every lesson, and always made me feel comfortable and confident, even when I was struggling. Pete is a very skilled instructor and a fantastic teacher who explains things clearly and never makes you feel bad for making mistakes. His patience and encouragement made such a huge difference to my driving, and I genuinely don’t think I would have passed my test without him. If you’re looking for an instructor who genuinely cares about his students and wants to see them succeed, I would 100% recommend Pete to everyone. Thank you so much for helping me achieve something I’m so proud of!

I had Dean as my instructor for just under a year and went from a complete beginner to passing first time and feeling confident in my driving. Dean is super patient and always calm and explains everything in a way that’s easy and helpful to understand. I always felt comfortable driving with Dean, he’s friendly and personable and helped to relieve any stress or nervousness I had about driving. I would highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive!

Dean is a great instructor. Before I was struggling on which gears to use until Dean told me a huge tip that helped me more confident in my gears and driving overall. Dean is very patient, and understanding which made every lesson feel like a breeze and most importantly not make you as nervous while driving. Thanks to Dean I’ve passed my Practical Driving Test.

I had Pete as an instructor throughout my course as a learner driver and he has made a lot of sacrifices for me and you won’t find a lot of other instructors who have the same values as Pete. He’s been very kind, patient and knowledgeable and I passed my test first time! This driving school is full of passion and it shows.

Pete was an amazing instructor. His knowledge of the road was very impressive, he could predict hazards before they even happened. I felt very safe in the car with him from the beginning. His teaching was very well catered to my needs, his understanding of an individuals capabilities and ways of learning was incredibly helpful, he helped me understand what I was doing wrong but also importantly what was causing the problem , whether it was physical or mental. His ability to work around a busy work schedule was very much appreciated. Many thanks Pete for teaching me to be a great driver and get over my fears and nerves of being on the road and getting me through the dreaded tests.

Having a long time didnt practise of my driving and back to it , I thank you so much to my Instructor Ely for being patience and giving all his knowledge and confidence to me and making my learning a very smooth experience.

Dean was a great instructor, passed first time and went out of his way to make sure I was familiar was the test area in Chippenham. Also driving a Mercedes was a notch above everything else out there.

If you have an unpredictable working schedule and need flexibility, and you’re looking for an excellent, respectful, kind, patient and value-for-money driving lesson, I highly recommend giving Ely and ‘No Ls, Bristol’ a chance! Ely (Eleazar) is an exceptional driving instructor who helped me pass my driving test at Avonmouth Test Centre on my first attempt. He’s incredibly patient and supportive throughout our lessons, always encouraging me to take on new challenges like exploring unfamiliar driving test routes. He’s done so remarkably well. Ely is also excellent at giving clear and respectful instructions and feedback, even providing a formal report. I was surprised to receive one, which clearly demonstrates his dedication to his job and students. Furthermore, he’s very flexible with his driving schedule, accommodating my working shifts.

Having been close to taking a test when I was 20, I came back to learning to drive (manual) with Pete 5 years later. Within a year, Pete rebuilt my confidence and I was able to pass 1st time at the notoriously tricky test centre in Kingswood having known friends of mine to have failed there on multiple occasions. Not only is Pete a safe and calm instructor, he develops the same characteristics in your driving attitude by encouraging you in your strengths and supporting improvement in your weaker areas with a holistic approach that balances both the theoretical and practical aspects of learning to drive. I am glad I decided to delay learning to drive, since Pete has made me a far better driver for it and with Pete’s expertise the roads of Bristol are far safer. It has been a pleasure learning to drive with Pete … even though he’s a united fan ;).

Outstanding Instructor, like many have said. Highly qualified and has a lot of experience. He knows what he’s doing, and can tailor each lesson for exactly what you need to improve on. Very calm throughout my lessons. Nearly crashed his car icl but I’ve never seen him mad or get a bit emotional (on the surface at least). Never passed a single mock test but I passed with 5 minors (tbf I was extremely lucky) but Pete believed I could do it. 10/10 would recommend .
