About Nadia Sempels Acupuncture
For a traditional Acupuncturist, diagnosis and treatment reflects the patient as a whole and is therefore tailor-made for each individual. Modern medicine and Chinese medicine vary in how health and disease are studied and consequently treated, but are similar in the way symptoms are grouped in patterns to reach a diagnosis. By assessing the symptoms of your disease or disorder, as well as all other signs and symptoms, an acupuncturist can determine what is going wrong and why it is happening. By diagnosing in this holistic way, a treatment plan can be made that is tailored to individual needs.
The Victoria Chiropractic Clinic is a well-established multi-disciplinary centre, offering a variety of services. The bright and friendly surroundings, combined with a drive to keep up with modern day practices, have made the clinic well-respected in the area for many years now.
In addition to needling acupuncture points, a traditional acupuncture treatment may include other Chinese medicine techniques such as Moxibustion (application of indirect heat to warm and relax muscles and energy meridians), Tuina (Chinese therapeutic massage), Electro-acupuncture (to increase blood flow, relax muscle tissue), Cupping (vacuum seals are placed on the skin to stimulate blood flow) and ear acupuncture.
