The job on my Transit was really too much for Darren, vehicle got me nearly home after clutch replacement, only to be recovered back to repairer via AA, he had forgotten to put slave cylinder together, fluid everywhere, had another clutch fitted, to find it was smelling of burn, vibrated badly changing gear, vehicle produced more problems than what it went in for, that had nothing to do with the original repair. Had to book an hotel room as vehicle not ready as agreed, more expense having to catch a train to collect as Darren does not give loan vehicles, yet would not come out to me, but offers a call out service, it took seven days to receive my vehicle back, only went in for a clutch replacement . The description of quality that Motor Vehicle Repairs offers on the web site is mis leading, it cost me more than had I taken it to a Ford dealership.

Darren changed the discs/pads and refurbished the calipers on. My Mitsubishi Shogun. He is a honest, pleasant chap, and did a good. Job. I will use him again and would reccomend him with no hesitation.

I am so pleased that I found Motor Vehicle Repairs. We have had numerous problems with out Citreon Berlingo van over the past year when we had an ECU fitted by a local Citreon Dealer and was charged a small fortune for it! The van was just not running properly and was very sluggish. When we had the same engine warning light come up on the dash as before we rang Darren late on a Wednesday afternoon, he was very helpful and looked at the van the next day, I was amazed as withing minutes of opening the bonnet he knew what the problem was, when many other mechanics had failed to find a problem …. Even the Citreon Dealer. We left the van and was told that it would be ready by Monday which was great as the van is used for our business. I was very pleased to then have a phone call to say that the van was ready Friday afternoon. Since we have picked up the van it is a different vehicle and is running great. I only wish that I had found MVR before. The service offered is excellent from price to workmanship and customer care. They are outstanding and I would highly recommend them and will certainly use again.Moreexpand_more

After months of trawling the internet forums in search of a solution to the starting problem on my Voyager 2. 8 diesel auto, Darren at Motor Vehicle Repairs was recommended to me by a customer of mine. He managed to find and fix the problem with minimum fuss and at a very reasonable price. I have no hesitation in recommending him for diesel repairs and diagnostics.

We had a problem with the alternator over Christmas for our Hyundai Santa Fe. Darren was one of the only people we could find to help and was mobile and so came to us. He came out with a replacement alternator but on inspection realised the existing one was ok and he could fix it at a much lower cost. All done over the holiday period and will definitely use again!

Service was the best I've ever recieved from a machanic. Polite, efficient and reliable. Got me back on the road so quickly and was so pleased with the service I recieved. I highly recommend.

What an exceptionally polite, helpful and efficient mechanic. Darren came over to our house the day after our car broke down, he was able to diagnose the fault with our car and fixed the fault once the part arrived. No issues, no problems. Would highly recommend.

We have used Darren on many occasions both for servicing and also fault finding and his work has been exceptional. He managed to troubleshoot a fault in half an hour which other mechanics had said would need a visit to a main dealer. His prices are very reasonable and he is a really nice guy. Darren found the problem with our starter straight away and saved me a packet plus he did a few little jobs to make our Mitsubishi Pajero perfect. A true and honest mechanic who does like his tea, I would highly recommend him to everyone.

I had alot of problems starting my van up in the mornings and spent a lot of money try to get it sorted i even had an x's vauxhall mechanic look at it. Then i found this site so i gave them a call thay were very helpful and came out to see me 2 day later with in 2 hours he had my van up and runing and i havent had a problem with it since the guy who came out to me was very proffesional and the price was very reasonable i would recommend this site to any one who needs a mechanic. This was the first time I had used a mobile mechanic to work on my vehicle, a Motorhome with a 2. 8 JTD Fiat engine. It needed a new Cam Belt. I was very impressed with the care and attention that Daren took in carrying out the work in freezing conditions. The price was reasonable as well. I would recommend his services to anybody.

They came the day after I called them to diagnose the problem. All work was done efficiently and promptly. Very nice and trustworthly person.
