Monarch Automatic Driving School

I can’t recommend Monarch Driving School highly enough - especially Chelsea. I came to her quite last-minute after a difficult experience with a previous instructor. As my test approached, it became clear I didn’t have the knowledge or confidence I needed to pass, and my lessons had become unreliable at the worst possible time. With a baby due just weeks after my test, the pressure was really on. Chelsea completely turned things around for me in a very short space of time. She took me from being a fairly average (and honestly quite unprepared) driver with some major misunderstandings, to someone who felt confident, capable, and ready for the test. What really stood out was her teaching style - calm, kind, and incredibly supportive, but also firm when needed. She has a brilliant way of explaining things and gave me simple, memorable methods to understand and retain even the more complicated rules of driving. Not only that, but her knowledge of the local test area was invaluable. On a personal note, she also has a wonderfully reassuring presence - I genuinely think she could double as a therapist! She knows exactly how to build your confidence while keeping you focused. Without Chelsea, I truly don’t think I would have passed. I’m incredibly grateful for her help and couldn’t have asked for a better instructor at such an important time in my life. I’m so grateful to have learned with Chelsea. She is truly the loveliest and most skilled driving instructor I could have asked for. Her calm, patient manner and clear teaching style made every lesson feel comfortable and productive. She explained everything so well and always made sure I felt confident behind the wheel. After nearly 20 years of putting off taking driving lessons again, I reached out to Chelsea and she got me to pass first time! The best instructor on the planet by a mile, I couldn't even remember how to steer properly on my first lesson and she got me passing a test a few months later. Honestly, I didn’t think I’d pass this easily - let alone on the very first try! Huge shoutout to Sharon, the absolute GOAT of driving instructors ? . She’s patient, crystal clear with her lessons, and focuses on teaching you to drive like a pro - not just tick boxes to pass. I can’t thank Chelsea enough for all her help in getting me to pass my driving test. After trying many different instructors, I never thought I’d get to this point, but Chelsea’s patience, support, and encouragement made all the difference. Feeling ecstatic today after I’ve passed my driving test. I am thankful for Sharon Gorham as she has been so patient and kind to me during our lessons, she really helped me build up my confidence, her skills are excellent, she has given me great safety lessons all throughout, those times I was able to learn and execute safe driving according to the rules of the road, it was an enjoyable time and I will surely recommend Sharon Gorham, such an amazing instructor and asset to Monarch Driving School!

Came to Sharon after failing my first driving test - she was incredibly helpful with simplistically breaking down what/why I am not doing quite right and how to be a good driver (even after the test). She had incredible patience while I unlearned bad habits, and systematically taught me everything I needed to pass my second time. Would absolutely recommend for anyone in MK wanting to learn on an automatic gearshift!

Having a fair bit of driving experience but just failing test after test, I found Chelsea who was incredibly helpful even before I’d booked anything with her! We didn’t have many lessons together, but the tips and tricks she gave were without any doubt what got me passing my very next test. I couldn't of passed my test if it wasn't for Chelsea's dedication, support and years of experience doing the job! I have had several instructors before Chelsea and I am so grateful to have found her, she's truly a gem! Chelsea is a brilliant instructor. I had previous experience in driving using my overseas license but I was not confident enough especially I felt knowledge gaps of driving in UK. Chelsea has not just prepared me for a test but also helped me to gain significant confidence in driving. Passed first time with 1 fault after 9 hours (6 lessons) with previous experience. Highly recommended!
