About Mindful Eating
Do you want to improve your relationship with food?
Are you overweight?
Do you lose weight but then regain it?
Have you had enough of dieting and are you now looking for a fresh approach to help you manage your eating and set up long-term healthy eating habits?
I offer highly personalised, one-to-one sessions to help you improve your relationship with food. I'm a very experienced practitioner, qualified in Nutritional Therapy and Health Psychology, and I've been supporting clients and running groups for over ten years. I offer a unique dual approach, covering both the nutritional aspects (what you eat) and the psychological aspects (why and how you eat, including emotional eating). I therefore help clients to address not just their food choices but also their mindset- their thoughts, feelings, beliefs and attitudes in relation to food, eating, dieting and weight loss. My service is helpful for individuals who want to stop dieting and find a personalised, enjoyable and sustainable way of eating.
I help clients to abandon the yo-yo dieting mindset and to set up new eating habits that are realistic and sustainable. My service is not just about weight loss, it's about improving the client's relationship with food, helping them to adopt more healthy eating habits and attitudes towards food to help them manage their weight long-term.
Unlike traditional slimming clubs, where the focus is often exclusively on weekly weight loss, Mindful Eating sessions focus on making the client more aware of not just what they eat, but how and why they eat, helping them to feel more in control of their eating by identifying strategies to become more 'mindful' eaters, as well as improving the client's knowledge of nutrition in relation to weight management, overall health and well-being.
I work along the lines of 'baby steps', since change cannot happen overnight. I also avoid giving the client too much to work on at once. The client agrees an action plan with me at each session, one which they find manageable, realistic and enjoyable. I offer text/email support as part of the service between sessions, which take place weekly or fortnightly.
One-to-one sessions (online via Zoom or face-to-face): initial session only (80 minutes): £70; all subsequent sessions (60 minutes): £55.
Special offer: buy 3 sessions up front and get 4th session free! Or pay as you go.
I also run a 3 hour online workshop: 'How To Change Your Eating Mindset' (£55).
