About Marie-Claire Warren
Marie-Claire Warren BA hons, FVCM hons, CT ABRSM has many years experience as a music teacher. Pupils travel from throughout Sheffield to receive lessons at her home in Basegreen.
I am fortunate to have a large teaching room and am able to accommodate social distancing. I have completed a thorough Risk Assessment in line with guidance from the Musician's Union and intend to continue offering face-to-face lessons as long as schools remain open. My room is well ventilated, regularly cleaned and the use of hand gel will be required. I will also wear gloves where sharing printed material is unavoidable. Because I teach woodwind instruments face masks will not be required, although I am happy to wear one when I am not playing if that makes you feel more comfortable.
Marie-Claire teaches electronic keyboard, flute, saxophone and music theory to Grade 8 and also teaches clarinet and recorder to beginners.
Enabling pupils to develop musicianship skills and prepare for music exams should they wish, Marie-Claire provides professional music lessons. Marie-Claire provide lessons which are both effective and enjoyable and is often praised for her patience.
Marie-Claire studied at The University of Liverpool where she gained an Upper Second in her Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours.
She is also a Fellow of the Victoria College of Music, a member of the Musician's Union and holds an enhanced Disclosure Scotland certificate. Marie-Claire has been awarded the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music's Certificate of Teaching.
Marie Claire Warren has a growing number of pupils of all ages and abilities, situated around South Yorkshire and North East Derbyshire.
