I had 5 sessions and found my therapist to be very friendly, helpful and understanding. It was a positive experience which helped me to understand and manage my anxiety more easily. I noticed small changes week by week and felt more able to tackle challenging situations. I will continue to build on this in future.
I had some sessions with Julie who was extremely professional but welcoming and made me feel at ease. Julie listened to my anxieties about medical procedures and hospital and provided me with coping strategies. The hypnotherapy was also very relaxing and a welcome relief when I was suffering with such anxiety. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Julie to anyone or re-attend in the future if I needed to. The downloads you are given access to are also very good and calming and something you can listen to at home as many times as you feel necessary. After a further hospital attendance I can truly say Julie’s help really worked!
I had five sessions with Zoe for anxiety about a wide range of sounds and I can’t recommend her highly enough. Zoe puts you at ease and makes the whole experience welcoming, relaxing and very effective. I can now deal with my anxieties easily and was honestly surprised how successful the therapy was.
I had several sessions over 2-3 months with Paula to help with what I would describe as burnout from stress related to work and personal issues. I can honestly say the results have been great. Starting with just talking about it, through to personalised hypnotherapy recordings that can be accessed any time along with simple techniques for relieving anxiety and the concentrated hypno sessions, you are given support and resources which help in the long term. Paula has a great calming, relatable personality and was really able to understand the issues and come up with tailored set of sessions,.
I found that the Hypnotherapy really helped with my stress. Pam provided a flexible and reliable service that really tackled the issue I was trying to fix. The recordings have helped me a great deal and I will continue to use them post treatment. I would recommend this treatment for anyone struggling with stress and anxiety.
Initially I visited Paula because of difficulties with sleeping. I reached a point where I could not cope with workload and family life well anymore due to the bad quality of sleep I had at the time. We started hypnotherapy and improved very quickly and was very pleased with the progress. Unfortunately life brought new challenges as I unexpectedly had to face severe difficulties at work. I now needed treatment for PTSD. Paula offered me an EMDR treatment and went ahead with it as soon as I was happy. With her professional and gentle approach the treatment was very successful. I not only was able to go back to full time work within few weeks but my sleeping got a lot better as well. I decided to give hypnotherapy a go to try and overcome the physical and mental effects that plague me in presentation/public speaking type situations. I first spoke to Zoe on the phone to see if she thought my problems were something that she could help with, and I was instantly reassured and set up my first session. The therapy has had a huge positive impact on me, giving me more confidence and calmness to present/speak in front of groups of people. Possibly more importantly, the therapy has generally had a really positive impact on my overall mental wellbeing. I've always been an anxious person, which is intensified by a stressful job, but everything seems so much easier these days as a result of the shift in mindset that the therapy has given me. In all situations I feel so much calmer, and I've unintentionally found the ability to get to sleep easily/quickly, which is something I've struggled with all my life. The sessions with Zoe were focussed on specific situations that I wanted help with, and between sessions Zoe provided more generic recordings to listen to which help in building that overall calmness, which I listened to before bed most nights. I can't thank Zoe enough for her help and I'd recommend giving hypnotherapy a try to anyone who is considering it. I visited Paula at Manchester Hypnotherapy on the recommendation of a friend at a time where I was suffering burn out from my work, and had been diagnosed with anxiety and depression. In my first session with Paula, I was a complete mess, not knowing even where to begin, but Paula calmly worked with me over the course of seven months to address my concerns step by step. I can honestly say that I found the experience life-changing. Paula has helped me regain my confidence, my motivation and work through issues that were holding me back. Working with Paula was great because she employs a mix of different therapy techniques. She also made me customised recordings to listen to which I continue to use. I am so pleased that I worked with Paula, and so pleased with how I feel now; it has honestly helped me to recover from my illness and feel more motivated, calm and happy! Thank you Paula.
I initially came to see Harriet about my fear of motorway driving but she has helped me deal and address so much more. I now understand myself and the way my brain works so I make better decisions. I feel less irritable and so much happier and content than before. I feel more like I did when I was younger and I can also see the impact on those around me. I am so grateful.
Just completed a short series of sessions with Harriet initially to think about weight loss but also tackled wider topics including some stress and straightened out my feelings about food and eating for comfort. Feeling positive and relaxed and thoughtful and have joined an appropriate gym class (loving it! ). The downloads are very helpful and I will continue to use them. I visited Julie 4 times for my eating habbits. I was an extreemly fussy eater (no fuit or veg) however, over the past 4 sessions I have pushed myself without even knowing it. Julie is such a lovley woman and made me feel at ease from the first session. YES its expensive but in my oppinion its worth every penny. I would highly reccomend Julie on here and have already told some of my friends to go for various other things. 100% worth it, thank you for everything Julie :).
I visited in October for a one off session to stop smoking. For the last 2/3 years I was mainly using an electric cigarette having used it to try and quit cigarettes but found myself smoking it constantly. I met with Julie who was wonderful. The whole process was very relaxing and I am pleased to say I haven’t had one craving. Even my usual triggers like alcohol and being around smokers have not once caused me to think about smoking. The at home downloads have also been very useful. Highly recommend!
I was suffering from very severe generalised anxiety, low mood and 'panic about panic'- I was recommended hypnotherapy CBT treatment after years of talking therapy and it's honestly the best decision I've ever made. Harriet was so amazing at taking me through the logical, scientific process of the functions of the brain, helping me to understand rational thinking and stop fearing negative spiralling. Her grounding techniques and visualisation have made me completely reconsider my anxiety and how to manage it- now I feel far more in control and happy to equip myself with tools to feel better. I’d been thinking about having some hypnotherapy for a long time to help with anxiety and stress, but it wasn’t until my anxiety levels went through the roof last summer and I hit rock bottom, that I finally plucked up the courage to call Manchester Hypnotherapy. I’m so glad I did. Anne was so lovely and warm and she instantly made me feel at ease in the very first session. Through our chats, the sound files and the hypnotherapy sessions, Anne has really helped me to find a place in my mind where I feel happier, have found balance and have a better perspective on life in general. I feel like I am able to look forward to the future again. I can not recommend Anne and hypnotherapy enough.
I could not recommend Zoe more highly, the four sessions that I attended helped me to overcome my anxiety issues in certain situations and feel that the work that she did with me has and will continue to help me through out life. I immediately felt comfortable and relaxed and able to open up to Zoe and the lovely calm environment definitely added to the experience.
I went there last year after suffering with depression and panic attacks in public, also claustrophobia in public transports. I had to suspend university and work due to these issues. Julie was amazing and very helpful, a year on I have finished university, gone back to work and showcased my work in town. I am forever grateful.
Julie was so welcoming and warm when I was feeling very low, and since then she has helped me to find happiness in myself and my life! Julie helped me find peace in myself directly through hypnotherapy, and through the downloads which I listen to every night. I cannot recommend this wonderful lady highly enough, I am forever grateful to her.
Manchester Hypnotherapy is to be recommended. When I rang to enquire Pam answered, and was easy to chat to and reassuring. I was organising sessions for my daughter, who is in her twenties and was suffering with anxiety and panic attacks. Julie, her very experienced therapist, is kind and caring, and made a real difference right from the start. My daughter was able to cope better with anxiety attacks, which occurred less and less, and she has managed social and work situations, crowds and travel, including a trip abroad, and is doing really well. She recently felt ready to stop the therapy, but she leaves with full access to the useful and relaxing downloads. We have both felt supported by Julie, and I can't thank her enough.
