Hi, my name's Mike Barry, a professional drum tutor with 16 years experience. From my studio in City-Centre Manchester I offer private drumming lessons to students of all ages and all levels. Whether you haven't played before and want to learn, are an experienced drummer looking to sharpen your skills or just looking to try something new you've clicked on the right ad!

I have a very friendly and relaxed teaching style, with the emphasis on learning things that will help the student develop, making sure they are enjoying themselves as much as possible. I am very patient with my students and understand that everyone learns at their own speed. I work from my own methods and teachings, initially installing the foundations of excellent technique and building from there, incorporating rudiments, co-ordination, timing and developing your reading and listening skills (song analysis).
