Magic Event

We were very disappointed with Magic Event and will not be using them ever again. My advice to anyone else would be to also not use. They seem to have very good reviews on their website, I emailed them to express my disappointment, their response was that they “rated the event 5/5”, it seems the rating in their website are their own opinions not the opinions of their clients. They said they would attend on the Friday night, they didn’t turn up or call to let us know. Eventually they called back after numerous calls, their excuse was that their van had broken down. No contact on the Saturday morning either, whilst preparing for our wedding we were sorting out a sound bar to use as we had lost all confidence in Magic Event. They did eventually make contact with further excuses and did set up. They complained they did not have enough room however should they have turned up when they said they would we could have planned with them. Lighting was not what they advertised. It seems there was a lit DJ, some very small flames and a ceiling laser. No smoke machine or any other disco style lights. They claimed they had these but it may have been they chose not to use them. They said they used extra uplighters which was nice but not necessary and did not make up for the additional stress and anxiety they caused. In emails with them they expressed they did not profit from our event due to their broken down van, not relevant or necessary for us to know. They have also tried claiming another suppliers white backdrop and fairy-lights decorations as their own. Opportunities to put this right we’re given and multiple emails exchanged with them. They responded with numerous excuses and photographs, sadly these did not make up for the issues. Magic Event attended my wedding and were fantastic at catering for all ages of music. Lucas the DJ was great, friendly and very good at keeping the guests happy. Any further parties I have that require music I would defently call them as my 1st choice. Thank You.

Had a disco for my 12 year old and it was great, the kids all had a great time and the selection of music was wonderful. The children had a list of songs they wanted played and all requests were played and many more. Many Thanks.

Very good, played the songs I wanted and kept the cheese to a minimum at my request. Set up and dismantled with no fuss.

I would definitely recommend this company, DJ came along and made it a fantastic Jubilee celebration from start to finish he was friendly, totally professional and played exactly what I wanted all night. I will definitely booking again and will recommend to everyone. Thanks very much.

The DJ for our wedding was great. He was happy to play the songs that we requested and we really enjoyed the visual effects too such as the lights. Thank you!

Brilliant evening, would certainly recommend Magic Event and my school will certainly use for future adult disco night in the pipeline. We have used other companies before but they had a poor sound and light system compared.

The party turned out better than we thought as we only had 15 children go. John was fantastic and kept the kids well entertained which took the pressure off the adults. Even the adults enjoyed themselves. My daughter thought it was the best party ever and we are contemplating having the disco again next year. Maybe for other events I will recommend them to any-one.
