I regret that I can give one star - its absolutely horrible service. It started really nicely and I was reassured that the company has 5 star rating in google and is a well respected family business. My computer was not repaired, it was also messed up, my passwords, the cloud, apple id - was out of access although I put the correct passwords in. On the second computer the login password was messed up and I could not log in using my usual password or my apple id - which was incorrect after they repair it. It took me almost a day and 2 other people to repair what those guys had "repaired". The worst is an attitutde - completelt unfriendly, rude and snobbish - ignoring my concerns and telling me that this was not their problem. DO NOTgo there, do not waste your time and money (which they refused to return). Never have had worse service. The worst that those people are actually using the pandemic and Appple closure to take an advantage of people who need to work, who need their computers to let their children study from home - and they do not have choice as to go there and take chances. Shame ….Moreexpand_more
I spilled water on my laptop and did not take the right measures right away so the touchpad and the keypad stopped working 10 minutes later. I contacted George that evening when I had lost hope and when I say he saved my life, he literally saved my life. There was no way I could make it through this acadamic year without him coming to my rescue. Also, I am a student and I have nothing to spend. I called him he booked me an appointment for the next day, did a free diagnosis, let me know how much it would cost the following day and fixed it for that same day. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SATISFIED WITH ANY SERVICE AS MUCH AS I HAVE BEEN SATISFIED WITH MacEmergency. Applestore would have charged me atleast up to 1,000 pounds and George fixed it for a price that is not even close. This is your best option, do not even contemplate on it.
My chugging iMac was like the slow train to nowhere - Geoge diagnosed a mechanical fault on the hard drive, so replaced the hard drive and upgraded the memory - now my machine is flying along like a silent bullet train! Very importantly, service was responsive and polite. I'm very pleased I found you guys and will be recommending you to my Mac-using clients.
Cannot recommend. My daughter was charged £100 for the removal and enclosure of the hard disc drive when they said her laptop was irreparable after a spillage. Appointments were conducted in a dark hallway and they charged another £50 to provide a beyond repair report for the insurance company. This was provided only after repeated requests. The receipt for the first payment was on a scrappy bit of paper with no company details and no receipt was given for the £50 payment. Very unprofessional and not much evidence of being first or world class as they claim on their website. A small beer passing itself off as champagne.
I used MacEmergency a while ago following a problem involving my macbook and a bottle of wine. Given that most services these days are done on the high street-it may seem a little odd knocking on someones front door and leaving a valuable item with them. The guys at MacEmergency are fantastic though. They took my mac apart and found that nothing could be done-which in turn they charged me nothing for (compared to somewhere on the high street that wanted to charge me £100 for this service). Overall-a professional, trustworthy, cost-effective way forward.
I had been calling many Mac Repair companies trying to get my Macbook Air Repaired. Apple store had quoted me £300+ and other companies were charging the same kind of price with a turnaround of about a week. I called MacEmergency early in the morning on the Tuesday, they offered a free diagnosis and a turnaround of 24hours. Not only did they repair the main issue which turned out to be a faulty Hard Drive for a fraction of the cost of other companies, they also helped me with data recovery from my old drive, and threw in a full service free of charge. Cleaning my machine internally and externally and making it look brand new. What's more the whole processes was complete the same day and I collected the following morning. The staff were incredibly friendly and clearly knew what they were talking about. I didn't feel brushed off and they took their time to explain everything and answer any questions I had. All in all my experience with them was incredible and I would recommend them to anyone with Apple Mac issues. Thanks MacEmergency!Moreexpand_more
I called Mac emergency in November 2011 to sort out an easily fixable problem I was having with the DVD drive of my MacBookPro. I wish I never did, it is an absolute scam. I was ripped off £200 for NOTHING! Here's what happened: they got my laptop for one day and sent it back saying that the problem was solved. When I tried it straightaway, it didn't work. They asked me to bring it back to them because they didn't have any couriers available, which took me an hour and 1/2 journey from where I live. I had to wait around for over an hour, and then bring the computer back. It looked fine but it stopped working after only a few hours. Fed up, and unable to afford any more time (I work with my laptop) I went to apple to find out that the part they put into my laptop was broken!I called them back and they said they were going to call me within the week. I haven't heard from them since, not have I been able to get in touch with them. What upset me more than anything is their awful customer service, I honestly tried my best to get it sorted over the phone but they won't pick up!To avoid at all costs ! ! !Moreexpand_more
My 2007 13" Macbook was in need of a service, an upgrade and a bit of TLC. Mac Emergency responded quickly to my call and were really practical and straightforward in the advice they gave. They focused on the small changes that could be made to improve performance on an old model, like upgrading to Snow Leopard rather than Lion as my mac probably couldn't cope with the newest OS. Turnaround was 24 hours. I am incredibly impressed with the service I received and would highly recommend them.
My three year old Macbook Pro was running very slow and also needed new cooling fans and keyboard. To make the job more cost effective I also decided to have the hard drive upgraded to a much larger one. The extensive work was carried out very swiftly - I dropped the computer off on a Saturday morning and it was ready 24 hours later. It's now running better than ever and has a new lease of life, thanks to Mac Emergency, who I highly recommend.
The Mac Emergency team helped when I needed to get more memory on my MacBook urgently - they were fast and professional and charged much less than the Apple Store boys would have done. I will definitely use them again, and have recommended them to several friends.
Usually, coffee is a good friend. To the MacBook Pro, coffee was an unfortunate enemy. The Apple Store repair times were 1) too long for my needs, and 2) expensive. Thus, I found MacEmergency and they were able to transform a potential disaster into a minor speed bump. I dropped the machine off at 1600 on Monday and picked it up at 0830 on Tuesday, good as new for a very reasonable price. Great work, a pleasure to deal with, and I recommend them to anyone with either economic sense and/or time pressures. Thank you MacEmergency.
The rating of the service I have received is excellent, based on all the fundamentals i. E. Professionalism, communication and value for money. Its a rare quality nowadays to find company that knows it's stuff, and doesn't try to stuff you with a no end result, and over charge. My Mac is my livelihood, and both have remained intact with the service received. Sincerely, Thank you.
I recently had my screen replaced on my Macbook and was mightily impressed by the speed and professionalism that I experienced with MacEmergency. Through price-checking, I was also pleased with cost for the work and the replacement. I would have no hesitation in recommending MacEmergency to others and did exactly that for a friend who had experienced a similar problem with their Mac.
I had spoken to three other repair companies about my problem, all quoting £700+ for the repair. However when I contacted MacEmergency, instead of taking my money , MacEmergency gave me a vital piece of information that allowed me to have my repair from Apple free of charge. They could have kept this information to themselves and gained £700+ of work but they were honest and kind enough not to do that. Thank you so much.
