I was very skeptical about first seeing a therapist. But after the first session, Adrian opened my mind that was severely trapped by my phobia of failure and procrastination; caused by a difficult childhood that was ultimately limiting my achievements. I was riding the wave of mediocrity and everyday was becoming more and more frustrating knowing that I should be doing better; which in turn made me unhappy and anxious most of the time. Suicidal? Not entirely, but the frequency of those thoughts were increasing year by year, and looking back I honestly don’t know how much more I could have endured. I actually hated most of my life. From the first minute Adrian picked up my brain, opened my mind and started to re-wire it in to a more confident, fearless, sharper and a more self aware me. I became braver and this allowed me to achieve the things that I once dreamed of. I can’t find enough words to describe this human being. Adrian is a genius of the highest order; a life saver. I have never known happiness like this in my life. I remember waking up the day after my final session with no anxiety whatsoever, which was previously one of my earliest childhood memories. This change in my life is ever lasting; Adrian gave me that and I am eternally grateful.Moreexpand_more
Adrian is a good therapist. He is very compassionate and concerned with the well-being of his patients. Very altruistic and you can tell he isn't just in it for the money. He always went over to 1. 5 hours in our sessions as he was concerned about patient care rather than monetary gain. The techniques Adrian shared with me were extremely insightful and I believe professional performers use them. I wasn't quite ready to employ them as I wasn't ready for change (I'm only 22 years old). However, as I've started my a job and am acquiring a lot of new life experiences i. E. Socially and with men, I can feel myself getting ready for new ways of doing and being and it's exciting. I feel like soon I may be ready to use the techniques, which were extremely powerful. I've started dance lessons and I'm realising the huge importance of stage presence and it's something that I can draw on from my therapy sessions. It's all about the mind and how I see myself. I understand that now, but more with my heart than my head which was the problem. I think the only way you can change these things sometimes is by learning the hard way. Which I'm happy to do if it means I'll get a good result at the end of it. Very good therapist, I can imagine if you are a male client you will especially have a good experience with Adrian as he puts you at ease (so you won't have to worry about your male pride). He's funny and very personable.Moreexpand_more
I cannot praise highly enough the services supplied to me by Lasting Change. When I first spoke to Gareth I had real confidence issues that were holding me back at work. I felt physically sick going to do a job that I used to be good at and enjoy. It had been made clear to me that things weren't working out and If I didn't jump soon I would be pushed. Over 1 month I had four, 1 - 1. 5 hour sessions with Gareth. I am now in a new position - management as well (scary! ) - and succeeding. To be clear, Gareth didn't get me a new job, or make my situation better, he helped me regain the confidence I used to have & to take charge of my career and my life. The results, quite simply, astounding.
Living with IBS:I am forever grateful to Amanda for eliminating the trauma involved with having IBS. She has also significantly reduced my general anxiety levels. I would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone that wants to increase their quality of life with IBS. I can now walk into Tesco's with a smile on my face rather than bolting for the nearest toilet in panic.
I had a fantastic experience with Amanda, who put me completely at ease whilst having hypnotherapy. It completely changed my outlook on my eating and exercise habits and I'll never look at a large portion of food the same way again! I'm also really motivated to get out and do exercise and have already signed up for the Great North Run in September! Thanks again for all your help, I couldn't be where I am today without you!
I first went to see Adrian about two years ago because I had put on a great deal of weight and was generally low and lacking direction. I was very nervous about going to see a therapist, but within minutes Adrian made me feel relaxed and comfortable. Having never been hypnotised before, I was scared that I was going to feel out of control or be forced to share private feelings; at no point was this the case. Over the course of six months I had six sessions in total, working first on weight loss and moving to issues of self-esteem and motivation. I was surprised at how easy it was to talk to Adrian and how enjoyable the sessions were. Since then I have lost weight and my confidence and motivation has increased. In my opinion, Adrian is an excellent therapist and a very open and friendly person, and I believe that he genuinely cares about the people with whom he works. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone dealing with the same kind of problem that I encountered.
I have worked with Adrian Tannock at Lasting Change for just over 6 months. My goal was to improve my self confidence level significantly to enable me to get the most out of life. In all the interactions and meetings I have had with Adrian I came away feeling that each session had been with the right level of support and challenge. This has enabled me to get the most out of each meeting and to move on significantly, and achieve my goal. Lasting Change treated me very much as an individual and Adrian adapts the sessions to ensure that the most is achieved each time. My only wish is that I had visited Lasting Change earlier in my life and I would thoroughly recommend the services offered by them.
When i first looked as Hypnotherapy/ NPL as a solution for my depression i was skeptical to say the least. I made sure that i researched the subject, what the processes were etc and read what other people had experienced. As i said, i was very skeptical and not convinced that this would work and went in with a very negative attitude towards it all. After my initial consultation Adrian confidently said that we could work together to overcome the depression, how we would do it and roughly how long it would take. After working with Adrian over a number of weeks i started to see the changes and feel myself feeling more positive, healthy and happier. I still use the techniques he taught me and still go back for catch up now and then to refresh my mind and make sure i am focussed on what is important and he is allways contactable for any little problems that come up on the way. If, for whatever reason you doubt Hypnotherapy/ NLP i strongly suggest you give it a try, for me it was the best decision i have ever made. I really dont know where i would be without Adrian.
I have been visiting Adrian at Lasting Change intermittently over the last year to support my weightloss. I have found the sessions to be extremely helpful and supportive, in many ways, not just in relation to the weightloss issues that I originally attended for. Adrian's ability to put you at ease and help you to look at problems from a different angle has been a great help to me, and over the past 18 months I have lost 4 dress sizes, and seen my self esteem rise massively. Our sessions vary depending on my needs, and have included traditional hypnotherapy techniques (but without a swinging fob watch! ), NLP/CBT type sessions, to frank and open discussions about life the universe and everything! Sometimes having a sounding post who is neutral and detached from your day to day life can be quite freeing. I would recommend Lasting Change to anyone, and infact have!
