KSL sound proofed my living room wall a-joining my neighbour. Prior to this I could hear their TV clearly, but now I hear virtually nothing from next door. It really has improved the quality of my life. I now have a reading corner - heaven, and listen to music quietly. Kevin and the men working for him, were brilliant, really professional, courteous. Did a great job, and left my room clean and tidy. I won't hesitate to get sound proofing from KSL again, Can't put a price on peace and quality of life.

Kevin and the team carried out work for me recently which was completed to a very high standard. They arrived on time and we’re very polite and professional whilst here. The left the house tidy and removed all rubbish. Very happy with the outcome.

Happy to report that Kevin did some work for us in our attic, summerhouse and bathroom. Quote for each was very reasonable. Turned up, a big plus! After being let let down a number of times by others. Polite, respectful of property and happy with the jobs done.

Kevin shows up on time and is very professional. He has a lot of experience and will talk you through everything that he will be doing. Excellent prices and excellent service. Will definitely use Kevin in the future and have already recommended him to family.

We have been having issues with our neighbour’s playing the TV and sound systems throughout the night for many years including going through the council but unfortunately due to being a council tenant they explicitly choose to do nothing. We just had a baby and decided for the health of the baby to get soundproofing. Although a little expensive we decided to go with Kevin. He did break down clearly what he was going to do but I am not a soundproofing expert. All I can say is that he left my flat with dashed door frames, left saw dust from trimming the bedroom door, black marks all over my white walls. I would not have cared if the soundproofing actually worked but unfortunately, it didn’t. I did the mistake of paying Kevin straight away, in future and if you decide to go with Kevin, I would wait several weeks to make sure the job has worked because he will just ignore you once he gets his money.

We've been having issues with noise travelling down from the flat above us for months, mostly television noise but you could also hear voices and footsteps both in the bedroom and the living room. We decided to get the work done in the hopes of improving our standard of living and make the two rooms more comfortable to be in. After getting the quote we decided that although very expensive it might be in our best interests long term. While the finish looks great the overly affect has has been mixed as we can still hear the TV although voices and footsteps greatly reduced. We've also asked a couple of times for the specs for what was installed but we've never heard anything back from them since the work was finished. A quick search for materials gave rough estimates for prices of materials which was decidedly lower than what we paid. On hindsight the gain did not at all warrant the cost.

Kevin installed under-floor soundproofing and replaced floorboards in 3 rooms and a hallway. Unfortunately some of the floorboards have since warped to the extent they do not support a person standing on them (the gap to the next floorboard is so large that the tongue and groove are not attached). Kevin initially agreed to come back and fix this, but has since stopped responding to emails and phone calls. In addition, the soundproofing itself had little to no effect, so we are overall in a worse position than before the work started.

Kevin soundproofed a party wall to reduce noise transfer between a bedroom and the adjacent property's kitchen, consisting of doors banging, fans, voices etc. My cottage was renovated 7 years ago and the wall insulated but evidently not soundproofed. The work was complicated by a wall cupboard with consumer unit, meter and main electrical connections for the cottage, together with a number of sockets and switches and a window reveal. Following a visit and quote Kevin's work has achieved a significant reduction in noise. He arrived when promised, did a very thorough job over 3 days, including additional work in the loft to reduce flanking noise without adding to the quote. He explained the work as he progressed and the wall was left in a good condition for me to decorate and all waste efficiently cleared and removed. Very satisfied.

Kevin and his team have soundproofed 2 rooms in my house. They were fast and efficient and I was impressed by Kevin's eye for detail. Excellent value for money. Although my neighbours aren't very noisy, before the soundproofing, I could hear their conversations and the sound from their TV (which is on the party wall). Now I can hardly hear a thing and it's brilliant! Definitely recommend.

Cannot rate KSL highly enough. Got work done a wee while ago and forgot to leave a review. Neighbours had a wall mounted tv in living room and thin walls min house meant we heard tv all the time even though it want that loud. Since our soundproofed walls went up we hear nothing and Im not exaggerating its incredible. Work was carried out quickly, professionally and the boys cleaned up after themselves. Not a cheap job but certainly get what you pay for and worth every penny. A game changer if you hear noise from neighbours. Highly recomend.

The team turned up at the time stated. Everything that was to be done was explained by them in detail. I had a large settee that I couldn’t move from the room. The team wrapped it to avoid any damage. The guys were polite and courteous throughout. As per the quote all rubbish was removed. I am very pleased with the end product and the sound from the flat upstairs is barely negligible. I would recommend these guys to any one who has a problem with noise from upstairs. Thank you guys.

After experiencing anti social noise from neighbours over a period of time and having had a DIY party wall installed which didn't work too well I contacted Kevin after doing some homework and reading reviews of his work. He came out to give a survey, he advised that our existing party wall may still be the problem if we were still hearing heavy footfall, doors slamming, dogs barking, washing machines and music etc and that it may have to be stripped back and totally redone again but first he would soundproof under the floor and the ceiling (something which would need to be done with full soundproofing anyway) to alleviate flanking noise. He and his colleague carried this work out and it was done in a day, they arrived on time and worked steadily, cleaning up as they went. Unfortunately it turned out that it was indeed our wall that was compromised as Kevin even came back to use extra insulation under the floor and in the ceiling to combat the noise which he didn't charge extra for. After further consultation we decided to go ahead with getting the wall professionally soundproofed. The work took two days, Kevin took care of all the electrical work and finished the wall to a very high standard, all taped and ready to decorate. I can honestly say that there has been a hugely significant reduction in noise, probably 95% and we are delighted and can now sit in our living room in peace of an evening. Kevin and his colleague are very professional and know their stuff, even when I was emailing and asking advice about any aspect of the work, what to expect etc, Kevin gave advice to me at all stages. We may in future get the guys back to soundproof upstairs too but for now we are really happy. Living next to anti social tenants is a nightmare, it focuses all your energy on it but if you want a solution to these kind of problems, Kevin is your man and they are really nice guys too, nothing was a bother.Moreexpand_more

Sound proofing is excellent and serves its job well. The guys were nice and friendly, knew their stuff and were really helpful. No problems - good all round.

We are thrilled with the job that ksl soundproofing have done. It has made an amazing difference to our lives. Noisy neighbours really gets you down. Now we feel we are in a detached house. They were great value for money and took their time and were tidy and went the extra mile to come back at night when we had a problem with the electricity. We would recommend them for a first class job.

So pleased with the soundproof ceiling in bedroom as flat above very noisy at times. The work is first class and your patience much appreciated. We had Kevin soundproof the party wall in the living room of our 1965 semi-detached house. The neighbours kitchen units are on this wall. It was constant in and out of cupboards, banging doors, crying child, dog barking and howling. It was driving us nuts. Kevin and his colleague did the work in two days with the minimum of disruption. Exceptional work at a very good price. Now we hear nothing from next door. Wish we had it done sooner.

I purchased an ex local authority flat back in 2016. The property was built circa early 70’s when there was no building regs regarding sound proofing. The upstairs neighbours aren’t bad, but with hardwood flooring you heard every foot step, drop, Tv noise coming through, and conversation and the impact noise was getting worse as the neighbour is getting heavier and being flat footed. Enough was enough and after a couple of quotes from other companies Kevins came in as the best value, so contacted him regarding to come round for a survey. After the proper survey the quoted price wasn’t far from the original rough quote. Kevin came round on the Wednesday and he pencilled me in for the following Tuesday to start the work. The work took 2 days to complete and Kevin and Dave tidied up after every day and also turned up on time. I lost a few inches from the height of the room which didn’t bother me and you actually don’t notice it at all. The result is quite outstanding, I know you wouldn’t 100% eradicate the sound but impact sound is down about 90% and the tv sound is all but gone. The impact sound comes and goes depending what he has on his feet, but even at the loudest it sounds less intrusive and distant now, to the point that you don’t notice it now unless your actually listening out for it. I will be getting my bedroom fitted out next when I manage to save enough roubles. Kevin and his team were also very courteous and polite throughout the whole process. I bought a good size 1896 red sandstone tenement flat in April. No one told me that this kind of Victorian tenement has very poor vertical sound insulation! The flat above is let to students and my sitting room is below their uncarpetted kitchen, and any time they were in the kitchen the noise of them walking above was like a herd of Angus heifers taking a salsa class. Kevin and his team designed a suspended ceiling, fitted it in the allocated time, and charged exactly the initial quote. The noise reduction has been 95% which is quite a feat in these old buildings, and the quality of workmanship is exceptional. Kevin and his team know what they are doing, work hard and get the job done. An excellent company and no hidden surprises. Recommended.

Contacted Kevin as live in downstairs flat and experience sleepless nights when upstairs neighbours home as have child who screams periodically throughout the night having gone on for several years now. I was needing sound proofing done, with Kevin responding promptly, visiting my home to complete his assessment with quote following soon after, which was very reasonable and cheapest in comparison with other quotes. Kevin was able to start early which suited myself, with job being finished in a day and even could accommodate a weekend day if wanted, although not required, but impressed with the flexible service he provides being tailored to the clients needs. Kevin arrived on time day of the job with his co worker, finishing on time stipulated, coming home from work to a tidy space, with them making a good job of the clear up which was appreciated having worked all week. I am very impressed with the finished job, plaster work very good, have since had the ceiling painted and looks perfect, wouldn't be obvious ceiling dropped 9 inches at a glance. I have yet to test the sound proofing as neighbours not back until Xmas time, but intending to put on another review at this point as confident having spoken with Kevin that the work he has done will be very effective in reducing air borne noise. For the first time in years not dreading sleepless nights and feeling exhausted over the festive period.

Review update on work done to soundproof a ceiling. I was unable to assess the outcome on the work done on the bedroom ceiling last week as my neighbour was away for a few days. Unfortunately since my neighbours return this evening the noise from the kitchen is still once again very evident. Heavy footfall on the floor actually sounds more pronounced and the bumps and bangs from cupboards and work tops are no less. Needless to say I had hoped I would be writing a happier review so I'm certainly disappointed with this outcome. The better news to conclude with at present is that Kevin is happy to return to address the ongoing noise problem with some additional work on the soundproofing being added so I will be happy to update this review with the final outcome in the near future. .
