I highly recommend John B. As a driving instructor. I started with him as a complete beginner learning to drive a manual car, and I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. John is friendly, reliable, patient and extremely knowledgeable. One of the things I appreciated most was how reliable he was. He never cancelled a lesson unless it was genuinely necessary, such as being unwell or going on holiday, and he was always punctual. He also made sure my lessons were booked at times that were convenient for me and never pressured me into booking extra lessons. His priority was always my progress and making sure I was ready, rather than encouraging me to book lessons I didn’t need. John’s years of experience meant he had a huge amount of knowledge to share, from cars and test routes to what to expect on the day of the test. We covered a wide range of potential test routes, which helped me become familiar with the roads and feel much more prepared and confident when my test day arrived. He also provides helpful printed resources covering parking manoeuvres, important rules and what to expect during the test, which were really useful for revising between lessons. As I progressed, lessons became tailored to the areas I felt I needed to practise most. John always listened to what I needed, encouraged me to ask questions and created an environment where I felt comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. Even when my confidence wavered, he remained patient, positive and reassuring. His prices are very fair, and I particularly appreciated his promise to honour the original rate for students, even if his prices increase in the future. After taking a few months away from lessons, I returned and John kindly allowed me to continue paying my original rate, despite his prices having changed. He also doesn’t charge an additional fee for using his car for the driving test. I’m really grateful for all of John’s help and support throughout my learning journey. After seeing my confidence grow over the past months driving with John, I cannot recommend him more as an instructor for new learner drivers. From practise test routes to confidence building exercises, John provides everything needed to place students in the best position possible to pass their test with ease. I will be using all of John's top tips driving from here on out, and most importantly, staying ice cold.

Amazing tuition done by John at an exceptional price with a genuine care for students' and their driving. John focuses on both for a test pass first time and their driving skills for the rest of their life which the vast majority of instructors cannot say. As someone who passed first time thanks to John, you can rest assured your child will have the skills needed and much more to not only pass their test first time, but to excel in it.
